CompTIA Cloud Essentials Certification Study Guide (Exam CLO-001) (Certification Press)

I read the book through once about two weeks before I took the exam (hint read it through just before you take the exam.) I took all of the tests provided on the DVD several times until I scored a 100% ( That didn't help) I downloaded the free exam from the Learn Key Software provided, (that didn't help) After I took the exam, damn the book nailed it in its narrative and not in the exam preps or review questions. Best to have a managers view on this or else. I did pass but not with an impressive grade as promised or touted by this book. Take in to the account I read it two weeks before I took the exam and never touched it until after I passed. Read the book.

It was a challenge to find material to study for this test. Various sources gave conflicting info about what it covered on the actual exam. This book - out of everything I used to prepare - was the most comprehensive source.

I feel that CompTIA's Cloud Essentials covered the objectives and content well. It helped get a grasp on the business ideology for cloud computing. But I would still reference other sources on cloud essentials to get different perspectives. Go online and get a good reference on the ITIL processes, this book doesn't go into enough depth for me. I didn't receive the CD with this booklet that says comes with it. What's the deal with that?

Don't know about all the other negative reviews but I suggest reading the book in it's entirety and not to depend on the practice tests in it (look elsewhere for that). I used this and pluralsight videos. The book really helps to elaborate on what was taught in the videos. Like always use multiple sources and you should be good. This book helped me pass.

I just took the Cloud Essentials certification last Saturday and passed the exam. I bought this book and the bulk of the materials covered here does help you with the exam, but there are just not enough examples of cloud computing services that are covered here that you can end up with on the exam.Things to know: ITIL forward and backwards, as many XaaS services as possible, business model of cloud computing and what it means to a company. I also used Quizlet and their cloud essentials practice questions to cover the rest of the exam for more practice on XaaS services.Good luck to those who are taking this exam and congrats to those who used this book to pass.

I passed the test today after reading this book and completing all the practice exams numerous times within a month, but found the test questions MUCH harder to answer. With this book being a COMPTIA authorized partner I thought the questions would have been a little more similar between book and test but they were shockingly different. Book gets 5 stars for readability and material covered but 2 - 3 stars for practice questions.

Worked great used it for my certification and passed the first time also used other sources. Make sure you read the book and not just use the the test bank questions. Also the test bank in the book written for me was more accurate than the practice test on the publishers website. Otherwise great prep tool.

This is good enough to pass if you have some IT/Cloud experience. It doesn't go into a lot of details with some objectives. So help outside this book is needed. For me it was the experience. If you don't have experience, then definitely consult other resources as well. The test is mostly common sense if you are familiar with Cloud technologies.

Questa settimana ho passato l'esame CLO-001.Personalmente ho trovato questo libro buono per ripassare vecchi concetti appresi durante il corso di ITIL fundamentals.ho letto il libro in due giorni, fatto tutte le domande leggendo attenatamente le spiegazione ad ogni risposta giusta e/o sbagliata.Consiglio a tutti di avere buone basi di ITIL prima di dare l'esame .

I've chosen this book as a support for Cloud Essential course study. It brings exactly that (including mock questions), no more, no less.I think however that this does not follow the current version.

great book, great value for prepping for the exam.
