Los Angeles Slim Minimalist Front Pocket Wallet RFID Protected

Rating after 2 weeks of use. This wallet is great. I am really impressed with the quality of the leather. It has a soft feel, it's durrable, and looks great. I purchased this wallet because I was tired of sitting on a thick wallet so I often tossed it out in the house, car, work etc. and would find myself having to spend 1 worried minute looking for it on a regular basis. I wanted somthing slim enough to keep in my front pocket perminantly. The packaging was nice and minimalist. It comes in a small burlap sack with some Hammer and Anvil cards inserted into the card slots. I only mention this because I think these would make great gifts. Especially for graduation. I also think this would work well in a purse to store your cards and/or cash. I moved from a fairly slim bifold wallet to the slim walltet and reduced the thickness from about 15/16ths of an inch to 1/2 inch. The wallet contains: 10 bills, 6 credit cards/IDs, 2 business cards and 2 insurance cards(thinner). It can easly hold a couple more cards and bills. I like that this wallet has such a high capacity(sometimes double of that seen on other front pocket wallets). Loaded with the contents mention it is nearly as thin as my Galaxy S5 with and slim case and fits comfortably in my front pocket. I am now having to pat my front pocket every time I get up to make sure it is in there. As I said before the Leather looks and feels nice. Also the stitching seems solid, even, and consistant. I do put my cards in backwords to make sure my credit card numbers don't get imprinted in the outer leather. At $12.99, you can't go wrong with this wallet. I would have liked to see it in brown at that price, but I'm not going to be picky. If brown comes available, I will buy that one too. I have talked this wallet up to my friends since the day I started using it. It would also be very nice just to carry on vacation or a night out if you need a larger wallet on a day to day basis. I have carried this wallet in my front pocket everyday for three years (purchased 30 November, 2017) and it's still like new. The extremely tight, perfectly aligned stitching and high quality, well treated leather has kept the form of the wallet intact. There has been no stretching; even when it has been overstuffed, the shape returns. There are four card slots (two on each face). These hold cards tightly. Any of the slots can hold five cards comfortably. There are three slots with openings that run the length of the wallet; the main, center slot and another on each side. These side slots are slightly larger than the card slots. There is a bit of raw edge inside the center side of the pockets that can catch items when removing them; but sliding items out against the outer edge of the pocket works well. The center slot can expand the most and easily holds ten folded bills. The sides of the center slot extend a half inch ( 1.25 cm) past the faces of the wallet. This seemed to make it less minimal and, as such, less appealing. But this extra half inch allows lends two big advantages: It allows for a thicker stack of items to fit without extending past the edge of the wallet; and it makes it a lot easier to open any of the three slots (gives you something to press against with your fingertips without having to push into the pocket itself). The RFID blocking works perfectly and for the entire wallet, all seven slots are protected. There is another review exclaiming the complete ineffectiveness of the RFID blocking. However, that same review also notes that the wallet was stamped "Made in India." This wallet is stamped "Hammer Anvil - Los Angeles;" so make sure to get the genuine article.

I was using an iPhone wallet that held my cards. Funny because that Michael Kors clutch held exactly the same number of cards and cash that I'm carrying in this Hammer and Anvil wallet. I am trying to find a smaller minimalist solution and I'm carrying my ID, 3 credit cards, and cash in this tiny wallet. I agree with the other reviewers about this wallet. It is a very good quality. Soft, pliable, yet durable and not too stretchy. Thing I really want to discuss that nobody has touched on is the innards of the wallet. There is a very fine, but durable feeling mesh between each pocket. This mesh is really thin and gives this wallet it's super thin quality. It's found between the cards lots. I have another wallet that has similar mesh between the pockets but this one feels premium, extra thin. I am excited about using this wallet in the days to come. It is so small I hope it doesn't fall out of my pocket. It is really that small and light. ***UPDATE 12/9/14*** So far I've had this wallet about a month and it fell out of my pocket this past weekend. A nice girl picked it up, ran me down and gave it back to me. This wallet is so small, thin, and light. I don't even notice it in the front pocket. One negative reviewer was talking about how leather loosens over time. Yes, I guess that's true. I will try to update this review in a year to see whether or not it has loosened to the point where it's detrimental to it's use. ***UPDATE 10/28/2015*** I have had my wallet for nearly 1 year now. It still holds up! It can be annoying to pull some cards out of the top pockets (not the area where cash is stored). The card corners will snag on the soft leather sometimes, making it difficult to pull the card out. I still really like this wallet. It does still fall out of my pocket easily but I have learned to manage. This is the latest and greatest trend in mens wallet. Everyone is buying minimalist now and Hammer Anvil is riding on top of the wave. I see other wallets with same features, same size selling for double what Amazon is selling for. Crazy!

I ordered this wallet just shy of two weeks ago, and I really like it. I've carried a bifold in my front pocket for years, and since I was about to set off on on a 2000 mile road trip, I decide to get this wallet as it purports to allow as much storage as a bifold with much less weight and thickness. Having just returned I can say it doesn't disappoint. I was able to pack my license, AAA card, medical insurance card, debit card, credit card, and gas card PLUS 11 bills in it with no problems. I was even able to fit several receipts in the side pockets. With all that, it was less than half the thickness of my old bifold. The side pockets were a little difficult to access at first but they loosened up quickly. The wallet fit snugly in the front pocket of jeans and khakis, and I had room for my keys when necessary. Now, the negatives - The wallet came badly scuffed. It looked like it was stored under a cheese grater. I couldn't care less, but someone might be bothered by it, so be aware. Next, there are only two card slots on each side of the wallet. That means I had to stick two cards in each slot when I needed the side pockets for receipts. Again, not a big deal; but, the leather is thin enough where it stretched just a bit in those slots. My cards still snuggle in just fine; but, it would have been easy to have THREE slots on both sides, which would have freed up the side pocket spaces. Finally, my biggest reason for not giving this five stars - the stitching. It's already started to pop out on the little flaps that stick out in the currency pocket. Granted, I had eleven bills stuffed in at one point, but I'd had the wallet for less than a week at that point, and would have expected a little more robust construction. After a little bit of surgery I corrected the issue, and since I'm not planning on carrying that much cash in the future, it should not be a problem. Overall, for the price this is a great front pocket wallet, and if you can put up with the quality control issues I've mentioned, I would easily recommend it as an alternative to bulky bifolds.

Strong and durable. This is a replacement for one I've had over six years that finally was showing some wear. I love these wallets. It holds plenty of cards in the slots and being rfid protected is great and one of my must haves. I like it's so minimalist as doesn't bulge in my pocket and takes up hardly any space where you can't even tell I have it on me. Well built, I put the last one through years of rough handling and it's still in good condition but I look forward to this new one.

I've been looking for a minimalist wallet for a long time. I've carried around the same bulky wallet for well over 15 years, so going to a much more compact size was a concern. After a week of using this, I can say I'd never go back. The Hammer Anvil wallet comes with six sleeves to fit your cards the way you like, as well as a middle pocket to place your cash. As a former owner of a bulky wallet, the Hammer Anvil basically requires you to cut out the cards you don't need, which is a good thing in my view. This lead to me cutting several useless cards that had been in my old wallet for years. I currently have nine cards in this wallet, including: +Three credit cards +One debit card +Three medical cards (insurance, prescriptions, etc.) +One driver's license +One paper auto insurance card +One grocery store loyalty card +A few dollar bills One concern I had was that the cards, which are partially exposed, could slip out of the wallet. However, they seem to fit very snug in the sleeves. One thing to note is that I have fit two-to-three cards in one sleeve, with the thought being those are cards I need, but do not access a majority of the time. Any cash will need to be folded to fit in the middle pocket, but it should carry a fair number of bills. However, I would not expect to fit an overly large stack of ones in it. The leather feels to be made of good quality material and does not feel cheap at all. The RIFD features give a nice peace of mind against scammers, although I know no way of substantiating the blocking capabilities of the wallet. Overall, as my first minimalist wallet, I am very happy with the purchase.

This walket is great and durable. I got my first one on 2015. My second one on 2021 and now on 2026 the third one. Love it. I miss the blue one.

This is a nice slim wallet with a main slot that is just the right size to hold bills with a single fold. I can't stand the double folding bills to store in a card sleeve. Only issue is the quick access card slots. The depth is not staggered, so when you push them in all the way, they sit right on top of each other. This makes it had to see what card it is and even harder to pull the cards out.

As advertised. Great wallet well worth a 5 star review.

Perfect small wallet. Time will be the ultimate test. Seems to be very well built though so I’m expecting this thing to last along time! Excited I’ve finally minimized. Also very nice at how secure the cards sit in it. Don’t have to worry about losing cards.

Compact as I expected and great quality. Placing of the card slots makes the best use of space imo.

Money does not fit all the way in so when you pull out your wallet people can see you are carrying cash. Also, the rfid does not work.
