Pre Fresh Hose-end Water Filter for Filling Pool, Spa, Hot Tub & spot-Free Car Wash

Every year we have problems when we top off our above ground pool with water from our house water. We have well water and that’s a lot of iron and other minerals that would turn the pool water brown every year. Then spent lots of money on chemicals to get it filtered out and also new filters For the pump. This year we tried this filter and topped the pool off with over 12 inches of water over a two day period. It has now been two months and the water was always crystal clear. If pool gets low on water from loss due to heat snd sun we just attach our hose to this filter and throw it in the pool for an hour or so. Works great!! Great product would recommend this to anyone wanting to filter out water they add to their above ground pool from well water.

Bought this to use for wa shipping my vehicles. There water in southern California is extremely hard and if to have a black truck like I do it can make washing a vehicle very difficult. This gave me instant results. It attaches to the edge of the house perfectly and I was able to put a nozzle on it without any leaks. There's a slight drop in water pressure but it's perfect for my needs. I can't stress how much of a difference this makes. No water spots are left behind and the truck is shining.

I've bought many of these, they are very useful when filling our pool or hot tub as we have well water and it has a lot of red clay in it. This filters out the red clay extremely well, much better than other filters I have purchased. It says it does 10,000 gallons but due to our water conditions it doesn't last that many gallons but it still is worth it. I will only buy these from Spa Depot, best price, best filter.

I have been shopping for some time comparing filters to try in order to reduce the iron out of my hose to fill my daught's pool and our hot tub. To be honest I was hoping that this would reduce it enough to make it bearable (mainly in the pool where there is no filter). I am floored at the results. I filled both 5 days ago. I have not added anything to either to be sure it would last and both are absolutely crystal clear. I have not had them long enough to compare them to to filters that cost twice as much but appear to be the same thing. My neighbor came over the other day (also on a well with lots of iron) and immediately commented on how clear the water was. I told her that I had not put anything else in it yet and she told me to buy her one next time I order. I do not typically write reviews but I am so happy with this (including the speed of shipment) that I thought I would share. I will definitely be buying the same thing from the same company again.

I have bought many different brands of these types of filters over the years for filling my hot tub. I consider this a commodity item and haven’t given the brand much thought in the past. However I just bought three of these and they are the worst. The water flows well for ten minutes and then the filter clogs. I back flushed it and got another 5 minutes. All three units behaved exactly the same way. Do yourself a favor and buy literally any other brand except this one.

After installing a lot of particles still got through filter. It was OK but I expected better. Easy to install though. And it didnt leak at the connection.

I used the Pre Fresh to fill up my new hot tub. I live in an area that has very hard water and am pleased to report that when I filled up the tub the water was crystal clear and only required me to add in chlorine. I purged the Pre Fresh for 30 seconds to clear out all the black stuff then started filling up the tub. I also used it to wash my truck and it worked like a charm. I would highly recommend this product to wash your vehicle or start your new spa off with clean soft water.
