Not been using it for long but has made a difference in terms of better bowel habits already. Not the nicest smell but it is in a capsule and is gone in a second. I did a fair bit of reading round the subject before taking so am hoping to get some of the longer terms health benefits too. Difficult to assess at the moment as only couple of weeks in. This one was recommended by a doctor to me . Not cheap but one bottle lasts a fair amount of time.

This stuff is a life saver tried other brand but they are rubbish. Stops my allergies straight away

I recommend it. This stuff is really good and has worked wonders for my IBS (better than any probiotic other than kefir). You need to persevere taking it for a while but bit by bit the improvements arrise. I am now symptom free and my bowels are like they were before the troubles started many years ago. I am so glad I found out about butyrate. This brand is pricy but the form I use now is not sodium based and is a bit harder to obtain.

Hope that one day can write a review of how wonderful it works for a SEVERE ME/CFS sufferer but at the moment cannot get over the intense dreadful odour. It travels through the bottle and sticks to your hands and anything it touches. A strange experience. Thought they must be totally rancid but looking on here good there is info that says this is safe - well suggests it is!

Does smell odd. A bit like baby sick but I’m sure it’s improving my gut health. Hasn’t given me tummy problems or made me fart more 🙂

I love this, it sorts the gut out. Its a good product and the smell is perfectly fine as its live and real, not dead! Its splendid and my consultant recommended this product, its a good make too.

Got this for post gallbladder removal as tummy EXTREMELY delicate. Dud my research, took a chance .... and so GLAD I did!!! If you've got tummy issues, research then buy a bottle (or three!!!) 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Awesome product works wonders to your gut area!!!!

So I just got my bottle. Was all excited about making my health better. But when I took the capsule out of the bottle, it had a smell to it. I was like, it's okay, I'll just swallow it quickly. But then when I went to rub my nose, it still had the scent on my fingers that touched the capsule. And the more I sniffed my fingers, the more it smelled like poop. So I had to wash my hands really good with scented soap. I would like to return it because I know I won't be able to take any of the capsules due to the smell. I can smell it when I open the bottle. But since I already opened it and took 2 capsules, I cannot see me returning it. But be warned if you have a sensitive nose.

I bought this supplement because it was recommended by "selfdecode" which is a website that interprets your DNA results to see how the different genes can affect health. For me personally this supplement causes my entire body to feel incredibly relaxed like I just took 1500mg of Acetaminophen! According to my DNA I am very immune to the effects of CBD oil so I can take massive amounts and feel no effects. However, this Sodium Butyrate seems to work fantastic as an anti inflammatory supplement with similar results as what people claim CBD oil does! It continues to have consistent effects even after 3 weeks of use with no signs of building a tolerance! Im not exaggerating when I say I feel soooo relaxed I could fall asleep on a hard wood floor. Yup, that happened :-) (No alcohol was involved haha). I did'nt notice any kind of boost in cognitive function as some people do, but its possible it is in fact boosting my brains ability to produce certain hormones which in turn make me relaxed. Everyone is different and may have different effects. At this price its worth trying out. Warning: At higher dosages (2 capsules twice daily) I began feeling tooo relaxed which made me feel like I needed to urinate often. At the higher dosage mentioned, the feeling of needing to urinate was only noticeable when laying in bed. During the day it wasnt noticeable at all. This was especially annoying when trying to fall asleep. I eventually reduced dosage to 1 capsule daily before bed.
