Bought this on January 27th, 2025, for my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I only drive that vehicle when there's snow/ice or when I need to move something that won't fit in my Miata, so it barely had any use. At the end of summer, my Jeep started overheating one day. I parked it until I could get to fixing it, which was today. I replaced the thermostat hoping it was an easy fix, and brought the MotoRad thermostat in and tested it in boiling water. It never opened. It literally failed closed and could have killed my engine. I would avoid if I were you.

I installed it on my 2013 Ram 1500 and it has been working with no issues for the past 2 months.

Absolutely waste of time. First one came in and when tested did not open. Exchanged for another. After a few days it arrived but the copper was oxidized and also remained closed during test. Seemed to have been sent a used/returned product. Would not recommend. In my experience a lot of these new thermostats are junk even from reputable companies. Always test them before install you’ll save yourself a bigger headache. Ridiculous.
