Review: Master your cycle and understand your period. - My cousin recommended me this book, 10/10 this has helped me understand my cycle more. Makes noticing signs of unusual symptoms easy, helps with getting into balance with your hormones after being on contraceptives. Make it easy on yourself and read this. Your body is not made for a 28 day cycle (unless that is your natural rhythm). Women's bodies are so unique and decoding the reproductive aspects of it will help so much. Thats what this book does. Makes it easy to understand, the what, when, and how's. Review: SO much information it's unbelievable. Get it! - Such a thorough book I recommend it for all women in my life and anyone who sees this. It covered so much that I actually found something wrong with me I didn't realize existed. Covers endometriosis, PCOS, thyroid, yeast infections, UTIs, and more! It even covers all the supplements you need to help your body heal as well as diet plans for each problem. I have found so many things I don't even think my doctor knows about! I've cried over how helpful this book is for me. I'm still healing my issues but I have made extreme progress ever since reading this. I'd get it even if you don't feel like you have an issue right now, because just having this knowledge is extremely beneficial.

Exceptionally helpful info, very well written
This is one of the best books in the health and wellness space. All women, no matter healthy or sick, should read it and get some basic knowledge about female physiology and women health. Besides the basics explained in simple plain language, the book provides essential info about the most common problem and conditions of women's health and practical steps to prevent them, as well as to manage and even reverse some of them. Excellent resource and a go-to book for all women of any age.

Great info for all WOMEN
This is a great little reference book. I wish I had this in my teens. It has helped me with a few different issues. I wish more medical professionals read this before treating women. There is so much more that can be done than throwing pills at women. This book is encouraging because there are things we can do to help ourselves! I gave 4 stars because the book does endorse Daysy and natural cycles, both are a bit iffy as they claim to predict ovulation. I believe getting a Fertility Awareness Method instructor and learning to interpret your own chart is the best, most effective way to prevent or attain pregnancy. (Shameless plug for SymptoPro and Read your body app!) Overall a solid reference book.

So informative!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I learned SO much about the workings of my own body! It's extremely informative and thorough in explanations and suggested treatments. My only regret is I didn't read it before giving in to going on birth control last year to help with major changes in my period. But in reading it, I'm very thankful I stopped my birth control and I look forward to supporting my body in getting back to normal thanks to this book.

Great book, one area for improvement
This is a great book. The only complaint that I have is that the author does not posses a strong foundation in Fertility Awareness Method (FAM). She mentions several times that you are ovulating if you have physical signs of ovulation but does not go into enough detail. The only way to know if you are ovulating besides exquisitely timed ultrasound, is to track your basal body temperature to see a thermal shift. OPKs (pee sticks) only predict when your body is trying to ovulate, not that it has or will. When and if a woman ovulates is vital information from a functional medicine standpoint. In women's health it is so important for women to understand and chart their cycles. Just recording the days of your period is inadequate when troubleshooting cycle problems. I highly recommend finding a fertility awareness educator to help you learn how to do this; You won't regret it! [...] This author is an incredible resource for reproductive health and dare I say a "trailblazer" in the field! I love the way Dr. Briden makes it clear that you don't have periods when you are on the pill. Bleeds do not equal periods. Pills do not "regulate" periods, they hijack them and suppress ovulation. Bleeds are a result of withdrawing off the synthetic hormones. Most people (including doctors) do not understand this crucial point. She has great dietary advice as well. Her herbal knowledge is admirable. Overall, the book is an excellent read for women looking to improve their periods and their health. I look forward to future editions with more information on Fertility Awareness Method because it is a vital component to cycle health; a woman's fifth vital sign.

Need to fix your period? Read this book!!!
Where do I begin. I LOVE this book and am SO happy I found out about it and purchased it. I am constantly re-reading different sections of it and many pages are dog-eared!! It is honestly the holy-grail of repairing your menstrual cycle. I wish I had this book years ago! Thanks to this book Iโve been supplementing magnesium glycinate 400 mg nightly for the last 2-3 months now along with sublingual vitamin B-12 and theyโve made a HUGE difference in my cycle. I am without breast tenderness, moodiness, cravings, and the best part: my period is becoming more regular. I have a history of hyperthyroidism and had RAI done about a year and a half ago so am now on thyroid replacement hormone. Once the wonkiness with regulating my thyroid settled down I was really able to concentrate and repair my poor body that was just trying to do its thing. From this book I learned how to fix my body - even items I should be eating / not eating. I also chart my BBT / Cervical fluid and this is extremely helpful in the repair of your period (although I personally knew about was educated on FAM/BBT/cervical fluid charting before reading this book) which this book does touch upon! I canโt recommend this book enough!!! If you love your body and are interested in your own health and well-being / reproductive system, I HIGHLY recommend this book. You wonโt regret buying it. Great for people with PCOS, thyroid disorders, Endo, etc!!!

The best guide to REALLY understand women's bodies
I'm 10 weeks pregnant as I write this. I suffered PCOS ever since puberty, plus have 2 fibroids that may or may not have been another *fun* side effect of the birth control pills I took for over 20 years (sigh). I read and researched a LOT and I thought I understood women's bodies and cycles as well as I could without studying medicine. I was SO wrong. This book is full of very new, valuable and understandable information. I'll never know how much it influenced my success in getting pregnant naturally after 2+ years of trying, but I'm sure it was a big part of it.

A Must Read for Women
I love this book! It was a quick and captivating read and I recommended it to all of my female friends. It gives a detailed description of how periods work and how a healthy period should look like. Then it gives a number of easy scientifically backed solutions for home use that are actually very effective at "fixing" problematic periods and gives information on how to recognize health issues that require the intervention of medical professionals. The book contains a section specifically designed to coach women on how to talk to their doctors if they have medical needs that need to be adressed, which is very helpful. It also gives information on the benefits, drawbacks and safety of contraceptive methods, including different options without hormones. Overall, I feel like this book is meant to give women more agency over their own bodies and their reproductive health decisions. A brilliant read I can only recommend.
