This is a great breaking knife

Just received mine today and i was surprise how well made it is. This will be perfect for my job slicing big chunks of brisket, slicing lots of meat and carving. I work in the Hotel Industry. Weight is designed to help the user go slice through any meat. The handle is designed perfectly, use pinch grip when using this kind of knife and you will find it very easy to control. Overall I like the quality and would recommend it to anyone. Will be posting a video in the future showing this product in action.

This knife is impressive. I shaved the inside of a walnut (not that it needed it). I'm sure it could cut through beef ribs. It is far too big to use on an everyday basis. It has a great sheath with a holding mechanism. I showed it off to some friends more as a trophy than a practical kitchen knife.

Got this as a gift after I mentioned a need for a good butcher's knife/cleaver. This was WAY LARGER THAN I EXPECTED (see pics). At this point I'm waiting for Easter for an excuse to bust this out....definitely not a practical daily driver knife, but as you can see it's a gorgeous blade. Blade: The rounded "belly" makes finely mincing garlic and herbs a breeze, which I've always found a bit unergonomic with my MAC Mighty 8" chef's knife (flatter blade profile). AUS-## steel held up well to the first few steaks I put up against it. We'll see how she does after a while longer. Handle: Comfortable and natural in the hand. I think it's a synthetic polymer, not real wood? But feels nice and smooth, and dries off matte. Not much else to say.

I've had a couple cleavers I've REALLY liked, but they dont' keep an edge near as well. This thing slices through everything easily, but I'm not going to test it on bones as I do have cleavers for that. People question the size, but if you're slicing a huge sirloin into steaks or cutting rings out of a shoulder roast (around the bone, not through) the very large size is helpful. I really like the brand and will be getting the cleaver from the same series next.

This is my second Dalstrong. I have a 12 inch gladiator series breaker knife which is still razor sharp after two years of light use. The devastator is everything promised. Superior packaging, huge, robust, balanced, but unfortunately, not sharp at all! A little disappointed UPDATE!! Dalstrong replaced the knife immediately after receiving my feedback! Outstanding customer service!! WILL PURCHASE AGAIN!!

The devastator by Dalstrong is just that , devastating to anything in it's path. I underestimated the size of this knife, it's very large and heavy. Great for slicing tenderloin and so sharp right out of the box it basically falls through the meat. I'm not sure how long it will hold it's edge when coming in contact with bone but I don't do very much butchering so that shouldn't be an issue for me. They say it's 1.5lbs but feels heavier, not for the weak wristed.

The weight behind this knife does the work, you just have to let it. I now own 8 Dalstrong knives and they all perform as expected if not better. I have only one complaint about this big breaker and that is aestitic, the bolster doesn't match the set. The knife I received is double stamped and it drives me crazy 😂

If you like me think your knives are never big enough - get this one. It should do the job nicely. It should require a license.

I think this knife is marketed wrongly I bought this for steaking salmon as that was one of the suggestions but the blade is honed at around 45 degrees which doesn’t really suit fish, I’d love to see this knife with a much tighter cutting angle but that said I like it enough not to return it and it’s a very impressive knife which I’ll try to get rehoned rather than return
