Works extremely well!
Works insanely fast. Randomly found a huge pile of ants outside my front door, so I quickly placed two of these traps down and the ants swarmed around the baits. Within 15-30 minutes, majority of the ants had disappeared and there were only a few remaining. My neighboring unit is vacant, but also had a ton of ants by the door, so I placed a trap and they too disappeared instantaneously. I like how these do not have any sort of chemical odor or oozes anything onto my hands.

Does exactly what it says it will do: gets rid of ants
We started seeing those tiny black ants in our kitchen, here and there. They would be in random places on the floor, on our counter tops, and on top of the dishwasher door. But in not in the cupboards or anywhere else. Sprayed peppermint oil/water and they would disappear for a day and be right back. Same thing with vinegar/water. These smells repel them, but they don't kill them. There was never a trail, so we couldn't figure out where they were coming from. Finally broke down and looked for an ant trap and decided on these. It says to put ONE out, but I missed that part and set them all out. Left the kitchen and came back later, and there was a trail of ants coming from under our dishwasher over to one of the bait traps. It says to leave them alone and they will take the bait back to their home and it will kill them all. It was hard to leave a trail of ants on the kitchen floor, but we did and the very next day, there were NO ants anywhere, and there haven't been any since. That was several weeks ago. Since the traps last for 6 months out of the package, I left one underneath a counter and one under the fridge, just in case. I wish we had done this sooner instead of spraying smelly liquids all over the place. This was easy, cheap, and it worked. I recommend these. You just have to be patient and let the ants come to the trap, leave them alone, and let them take the bait home. No more ants. It worked for us.

Not effective!!
UPDATE: Not sure if this is what did it, but as of about June 16, no more ants.I placed these wherever I found ants and a week later I’m experiencing a bad ant issue. I had read in the reviews to put a little bit of sugar on it and I honestly thought it’d work, but they literally gathered around, ate all the sugar and called it a day.Placed them also whiteout sugar and they did nothing. The ants were not attracted to it, they did not die. I haven’t found any dead ones. They’re definitely easy to use, easy to snap and place anywhere, but I don’t think they’re as effective as the other reviews mention.

They seem to have worked with Red Fire Ants!
They seem to be working. Somehow red fire ants were getting into our house. They are quite aggressive, and needed to be gone fast. I put these out and have not seen or been bit by an another Fireant! They are pet safe and easy to use. I just scattered them near baseboards, close to water. (Bathrooms, and kitchens.) They are contained in little plastic cases!

It was meh, works but not well
I tried this bait around my house. It technically worked, and I saw a few ants go in and out, but most of the ants didn't seem very interested. The dry bait that doesn't leak, clean and easy to use. Would be amazing if the ants actually wanted to eat the bait. For whatever reason, it just wasn't a great match for the ants I'm dealing with. Another brand has worked better for me so far. Shipping and packaging were fine.

Completely useless and a waste of money
The ants show absolutely no interest in this bait, even though I’ve had it set out for four days and have placed three separate traps about 5 feet apart and directly within their trails (indoors and on the tops of some kitchen cabinets). They just walk over or around the traps and I’ve seen no decrease in the number of ants. I suspect, but don’t know for sure, that the problem is the traps are just too old as they’ve probably been sitting in storage at the warehouse for several years. The outer box was sealed, and the traps were in sealed cellophane packages, but I suspect that even when unopened that they expire within a year or two.Interestingly, there is no expiration date printed on the box. However, the copyright date is 2001 which was five years ago. The copyright doesn’t indicate when they were manufactured, but I suspect that it is something of a clue.As of September 2026, a complete waste of time, effort, and money.

Entire Ant Colony Dead
I am a very clean person, but with a toddler and pets, it can be hard to keep the floors dirt and crumb-free. I noticed a trail of ants coming from our front door area to our kitchen where our toddler sits and eats. Several ants were carrying the tiniest crumbs across the floor. I was disgusted! I vacuumed up what I could see and then placed peppermint cotton balls along the wall and in the kitchen. The next day there were a bunch of ants in our laundry room where we keep our dog food and water bowls. I cleaned that whole area very well and cleaned the entire floor with peppermint. I ordered these ant baits because I read peppermint just scares them away for a short while, but does not kill the queen ant or the colony. I had peppermint cotton balls all over the place and did not seem to notice any ants so I figured I no longer needed the baits. The next day the baits arrived and I went to start putting them all over the house when I noticed there were a bunch by our back door and in our pantry. I set up all of these traps where I had seen the ants. The next day there were no more ants and I noticed a bunch of sandy dirt and tiny black specks lining the wall of our house in our garage. These baits did the job and will be repurchasing if we ever have this issue again!
