Soft thick turf
We used this grass seed in Iowa and had wonderful results. It came in thick and soft. It withstands trampling from our 100+ pound dogs. Stays fairly green even during drought conditions. We are now experimenting with it in Northern Florida. So far coming in very well as we over seeded our new sod.

Not that great
I had the perfect grass growing conditions for 3 weeks. This product did not perform the way I expected.

Doesn't grow
No grass at all. Waste of time money and water.

GREAT SPROUTING SEED
Planted last fall, and most all of it came up within 2 weeks. Now it is still growing months later too. Best seed I ever planted!

Grows in high traffic areas
My dog runs on the same path all of the time. I planted tall fescue a few times but it didnโt. The Kentucky 31 is much hardier and slowly covering the trail. I did put a straw mat I got from Loweโs on top of it to get it started. Also watered everyday for 2 weeks and applied starter fertilizer

Poor Germination
Grass is relatively easy to grow. Soil, sunlight, and moisture. This is the worst germinating grass seed I ever purchased. Extremely poor. Despite my best efforts, I had less than a 50% germination rate. Of the 50% that germinated, most of those did not survive. It was not due to cold temperatures, freezing temperatures etc. Just very poor grass seed.

Nyc area seed
Live within NYC. Backyard needed grass used same brand last year and grew well. Withstood dogs and birds. Going to replant now in fall to fill in patches. This year going to plant when temp between 60-70 degrees as recommended. Last year planted late 50-60 but still grew so hoping to see good regrowth in spring.
