I got gifted a rocker that’s 30 years old and the base broke. I was looking for a replacement and found this beautiful gem. I’m 33 weeks pregnant and when it arrived; it wasn’t heavy and I was able to put it on without my husband’s help. I do wish it came with instructions because I put it on wrong but once I turned with the two springs in the back and one in the front it worked perfectly. I’m totally in love and brought the rocker back. And it doesn’t squeak or make any noises when gliding. I also had my own bolts from the previous base. This didn’t come with bolts but the other fit so perfectly.

Turned upholstered chair into swivel rocker, works great, no squeaking. Easy to install with a drill, measuring tape to center, two sturdy pieces of wood to the length of the wooden frame of your chair, and wood screws.

We got this to turn a sofa chair we had into a rocker for our baby’s nursery and it worked better than I even expected it to! The swivel is super smooth, the range of the rocking is controlled but effortless and broad. Attaching it was incredibly simple, we attached a 3/4inch plywood to the bottom of the whole chair and then centered this piece in the middle of the plywood and screwed it in. Works like a charm and it’s now my favorite place to sit! PS: The side with two springs goes in the front (I initially attached it backwards)

I found this recliner base replacement in an effort to save a perfectly good recliner. It would need to have swivel/rocker and fit my recliner. I was able to modify my old recliner base support frame by adding a hard wood, cut to match the bolt pattern from original center hub type base. The swivel/rocker box replacement worked great, easy to adapt, easy to assemble and at a reasonable price. I have already ordered a second unit to repair a second recliner, just as a precaution after inspecting it's matching recliner.

After 36 years, a spring broke under an upholstered chair. I believe it's a Henredon chair and the rocker/swivel brand was Leggett and Platt from Kentucky. The date code says 1987. This amazon item is exactly the same and also from Leggett and Platt, but the new warranty card says Mississippi. I guess they moved and I'm very pleased to see that they're still in business. Took about 5 minutes to remove and replace the mechanism. It's kind of heavy at about 10 pounds, so a helper is a good idea. My chair had two machine screws that go toward the chair front and two wood screws toward the back. The front part of the mechanism takes all the stress when rocking back, so be sure the machine screws fit properly into the metal nuts built into the chair bottom. I did not post a pic because it's identical.

Our 50+ year old swivel rockers were increasingly creaky, then one swivel bearing failed completely. This replacement seems every bit as sturdy as the originals. Four of the holes fit our existing bolt pattern exactly, so it was easy to swap it in. Rarely do I have projects go so smoothly. Our chairs should be good for another 50 years.

I had searched for a lot of options for a computer chair, but wanted more comfort than most chairs offered. I had an accent chair with legs and bought this to easily convert it into a swivel rocker. It fits right at my desk and I can move with ease and sit in comfort. Highly recommend for doing a DIY swivel rocker out of any accent chair.

This was such a waste of money. 1: no mounting gear or instructions or suggestions. We got this to convert a standard rocker (that slid really badly on our carpet) in our room to help with our newborn. From the get-go the rocking clicked & bumped with every “push”. No matter how we adjusted the chair. When I say bumped, I mean a physical bump! It wasn’t a smooth bounce, it gave us an extra bump that was in no way smooth or relaxing. We used the unit for about a month before getting so frustrated with it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY with this conversion unit.
