Soft shiny hair
My hair lightened, but not a ton, so you’ll need a lot. But my hair is super soft and it didn’t make it stinky or brittle. Great product.

... blond but my hair grows in kind of a dirty blond color
I'm naturally blond but my hair grows in kind of a dirty blond color, then lightens the more time I spend outside in the sun. I'm not crazy about how my hair looks when I don't spend a lot of time outdoors. I live in an apartment that doesn't have a lot of natural lighting and work in a office, so needless to say was kind of hating my hair. I used to dye it lighter blond with a box dye but stopped because the upkeep was annoying and the dye was damaging my hair. I tried this product on a whim a couple of years ago hoping it would help hide my roots a bit while I let the dye grow out. I've been using it ever since! It lightens my dirty blond hair to a much nicer, lighter sun kissed blond that I love! Surprisingly it hasn't been damaging to my hair. When my roots grow in dark usually two or three applications of this is enough to get my hair back to where I like it. I always make sure to have a bottle or two of this in stock now.

Good but be careful
It works. It does lighten your hair but use caution. Do not use every day. Use maybe twice a week max. If used too frequently it does damage your hair. In my experience if you spray too much in one area your hair will turn gummy and break off.

Amazing, takes a bit to go from brown to blonde but just keep going!
I grew up with blonde hair that went definitely brunette but the time I was 13. I couldn't afford highlights in college so let it go dark. Decided to try this. Applied 1-2x per week for a few months. It went through an orange phase but eventually went totally blonde, I'm glad I persisted! Now I apply probably 2x/mo when I blow dry. Love the natural blonde color and look - no sharp roots lines which I always hated!!

Works FANTASTIC
I got this because I’ve been wanting highlights, but not wanting to commit to the price/maintenance of getting it done at a salon, and my grandma recommended this haha. I am already a natural blonde, so I can’t attest to how it works on darker hair. But for me, it’s FANTASTIC. I only use a few spritz maybe 1-2x/week where my hair normally parts and just let it air dry rather than blow drying like the instructions say. Soon after starting using it people started asking if I got highlights! And you can definitely tell the difference, if I do a little part down the side the hair underneath where I normally spray is a lot darker. It doesn’t appear to have done any damage and I’ve been using it for 5 months now, and I love it. Totally convinced now and will be buying again once I run out!

Bottles arrived leaking, not a fan of scent
This arrived to me leaking, both bottles. Super bummed cuz this stuff is EXPENSIVE. Came in their own package as well so can't blame it banging into other items in the shipment. First time buying the tropical scent and the smell of it that leaked in the package seems very offputting to me so I will probably try to find the original lemon in the future. Having used the product before it IS effective and I do like it, I just had a poor shipping experience from this seller.

Excellent 👌🏻
I was skeptical. I have natural and dark brown hair almost black. I dry my hair and plate it. Middle length of the back. I listened to some YouTube videos to optimize the effects. I used 1x a week, I poured the product into my hands to apply it to my hair. Dry near the hair at maximum heat by smoothing it. Visible results in 3 weeks. After 1 month and a half, my hair has lost 1 or 2 points of color. So now I have brown hair. There is no demarcation with the root. I stopped applying it so as not to abuse and break my long hair. I will continue to apply it 1x or 2x per month so as not to have a demarcation. Great smell.

Great results in no time at all
I love my new Tropical Sun In, it's so easy to use and not messy with no risk of spills. The effects are noticeable from first use and I got positive comments from friends I hadn't seen in a while. I use it twice a week to target my new hair growth and it just looks like natural highlights on my auburn/mid brown hair. It's not brassy but I use it with a purple tone shampoo and conditioner incase any yellow shades creep in. I will definitely keep using/buying more of this. It's not drying ir harsh on my hair.

Works well, especially if you were blonde or had light brown hair as a child
I've tried a few of these and found this red bottle is better than the yellow Sun-In and Sun Bum hair lightener, it works faster, although it smells much worse (nothing tropical or breezy about this scent....pure chemicals). It works well if your hair isn't too dark and if you were "formerly bone blonde" light blonde to light brunette when you were younger. My hair pulls golden- red tones with it and it can look very natural if you don't over do it. I don't spray right up to the scalp, I keep it a couple of inches from the roots, brush it down and only spray the top layer and the sides, where it would naturally get lightened by the sun. I spray it on, dry it with the hair dryer on high heat and then wash and deep condition my hair. I wouldn't leave it on, I think it would become damaging if you left it in for too long, and, as I mentioned, it also smells awful.

Good product
Used for many years easy to apply and good results. I take it on holiday spray it on and let the sun do the rest.
