Impressed
Impressive product. Straightforward connectivity, good app, good picture quality.Initially I set out to purchase a high end product that I could use on home improvement activities as well as on photography projects. The technology is evolving rapidly, so decided to go for a low cost product for the improvement activities and wait for the resolution and focus technology to develop before buying something expensive. The Foxwell product surprised me. I have already used it effectively on several activities, including one that required the mirror attachment. I like the versatility of the 5.5mm size, the handy shot and zoom buttons, and the ability to rotate the image in the app.One point of caution - while the semi-rigid cable is ideal for moving the camera to where you need it, manipulating the fully stretched cable for the exact positioning of the camera requires patience and practice.

Connects to Smartphone with WiFi but Low Light Performance Poor
What I liked the most about this unit is that it doesn't attach to your smartphone for use, so you can set the smartphone down and not be afraid of tugging on the cable and knocking the phone to the floor. When you turn it on it sets up a WiFi network that you connect to with your phone. Once connected, the HD WiFi app automatically starts showing the video stream from the camera. I used the endoscope to inspect the flap on my above-range microware to see if it was opening or not. Turns out it was not, the flap was getting hung-up on a corner of the exhaust duct. So it did a good job of showing me this so I can get it fixed.I have a few dislikes. One is the low light performance of the camera seems subpar. The picture gets really grainy. For example, inspecting behind appliances like a washer or refrigerator is difficult because of the grainy picture. Also, the 45 degree mirror attachment is useless. When it is attached it, it does not center on the image field. If you are using the mirror in a low light environment, there is so much glare back from the mirror edges that the image washes out.

Make sure the lens is clean
I got the endoscope and set it up with no problem. Instruction were very good. I wanted to use it to inspect my clutch installation (there is a small space on the side of the bell housing that I used for access) Initially, the picture was clear but it started to burr and then half the picture blacked out. After I figured out there was a small bit of grease on the lens, I carefully cleaned it off and was back in business. The attached picture is one of the pictures I took of the throw out bearing after I cleaned the lens. The quality was sufficient to read the print on the side of the bearing. I gave it 5 stars because for the price it worked it worked extremely well as long as you keep the lens clean.

Worked great for 2 days
Worked great for 2 days then No matter how many times I restarted it or tried to reset it. It would never pair to any tablet, phone, or visual median again. IT wasn't dropped or submerged or shocked or treated irresponsibly. Just stopped working. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A PLUMBING JOB

The head may get stuck in a drain pipe
Useful tool. The light is bright but the head gets hot.Not very clear image, perhaps the 2-star app’s fault. Should be make it compatible with more apps. The focus can’t be adjusted, and the clear range is limited. The camera head is kinda long. It got stuck in a drain pipe, probably because the obstacle and pushing turned the head sideway. Almost had to disassemble the pipe, or otherwise cut the cable and leave the camera in it. Be warned!

This item is a fascinating grown-up toy
The media could not be loaded. I've been looking for a way to get more visibility of the inside of a robot vacuum cleaner I bought and stopped working. I have not been able to crack it open but there is a place where I could probably take a better look at what is going on with a camera. That's when is started looking for a portable endoscope. I searched through different items and liked the price vs. Quality of this model. Upon receiving it I can say that quality looks very good. Setup was a breeze and connecting to my phone was almost instantly. APP has different functions, included image resolution adjustments. I've also shared this with a friend and now he wants to buy one for himself. I will continue using it but so far I am really liking it.

Description not exactly clear.
When you add the 90 deg. lens on it becomes larger than 6mm (.256). Keep it in your mind when you order. Other than that it’s ok.

You never know when you’re going to need it
I originally bought this for my husband but the first day it came in I suddenly had a need for it. One of my kids flushed an action figure down the toilet and it was backing up. I fished the camera down the toilet but I didn’t see anything. My husband ended up having to remove the toilet to get the toy. Overall I was surprised at how well the video looked for the price I paid. I sanitized it (it’s waterproof) and it’s a nice tool to have when you need it!
