It was hooked up quickly and is sturdy and easy to use. I also added a heavy duty wheel to the bottom of the gate. It all works smoothly and closes with ease, my 12ft gate can be closed now with one hand.

A step above the usual gate latches offered in local hardware stores. I'm not sure why this is not carried in the franchise stores. Simple installation. Smooth, secure, lockable.

My ducks don't seem to care about this latch, but for us humans it works great! Fits our tube style metal farm gates perfectly. I especially like you can open the gate either way. Installation was simple, you just have to make sure you have enough clearance between the gate and fence post to fit the latch.

I got this because my daughter always forgets to put the latch down on the gate. This works perfect because all she has to do is shove it backwards or four words no latching involved.

Works perfectly and is heavy duty. I can't see my gate doing anything to this to possibly break it. Combine this latch with adjustable mounting bolts aka J-bolts for your farm gate and you can get your gate just right so it opens and closes with hardly any effort.

Heavy weight, easy to install, simple mechanical operation that is easy to open and close. Also has a pad lock feature if you need to lock entrance.

I hate chains on gates! This is a game changer for gate latches. The gate does have to be mounted precisely but if it is, these can’t be beat. Animals cannot unlatch them but a 4 year old can. They can also be locked if necessary. Welding is not required but I did weld mine to a pipe fence. I will be using these more.

The gate latch works as portrayed in the advertisement. It requires space between the post and gate, and works best on metal post style gate. Because of the tight fit vertically as well as horizontally I do wonder if frost heaves which can move the post will end up putting the latch out of adjustment?. Time will tell me more.
