Very High Value
I could not tell in the slightest that this was a used monitor. It also comes with a 3 year warranty and all over the accessories that originally comes with it. Mine came with the manufactured package too which was in really good condition. I saved a heap on this purchase and it was well worth it. The viewing angles are nice, the color accuracy, eye care and brightness are awesome features. The G-SYNC (on/off) works perfectly. I've had no screen tears with 5 days of it off and 5 days of it on. I've run multiple resolutions and have played a wide variety of games on this and I love it. I don't really use the RGB features but they are cool when they're in use

Best out there, hands down.
I have been building custom computers for 15 years. I am a perfectionist, and lately I have been trying to find the pinnacle for a monitor. I have tried so many different monitors with different resolutions, refresh rates, response times, ips/tn/va, etc. This monitor is unbelievable. You are compromising literally nothing. It is unlike anything I have ever seen. And, now that its not $2k anymore its a total no brainer. I'm truly shocked. I have so far tested modern warfare, forza, league of legends, valorant, overwatch, Diablo 3, wolcen... and several others. There is not a scenario where this monitor doesn't shine. Colors are amazing. Response time is amazing. Refresh rate is amazing. 4k is mind blowing. Honestly, I hardly ever write product reviews, but I had to write one here. If you are debating on getting this monitor...just do it. You won't regret it.

Terrible faulty monitor. Many people had problems with this monitor.
The ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ monitor has been plagued with numerous complaints, particularly regarding its persistent black screen issues. Many users have reported that the monitor unexpectedly goes black during use, often requiring a complete power cycle or RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) to temporarily fix the problem. This issue is compounded by the monitor's tendency to flicker or briefly black out when switching between applications or adjusting display settings, especially when using HDR or high refresh rates. Despite its high price and premium features, these technical flaws have left many users frustrated and disappointed, feeling that the product does not live up to its advertised standards. The frequent blackouts and inconsistent performance make it difficult to justify the cost, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among those who expected a top-tier gaming experience. In summary, the ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ might have impressive specs on paper, but its real-world performance is marred by reliability issues that make it hard to recommend, especially considering its premium price pointโ

Worst customer service experience ever
So I don't normally write reviews but with a high dollar product like this and an experience like the one I've had I think it warrants it. Overall performance of the device was good and I loved it for roughly the first 9 months I had it. I purchased it renewed from Amazon and thought I had gotten a good deal for it. However right around the 9 month mark though what looked like a bright dot appeared roughly in the center top portion of the monitor. I tried to ignore it at first but anyone who has experienced one of these probably knows that it is a futile effort. I attempted all the "at-home" fixes to try to wake up the pixel but sadly no luck. My $1000+ monitor had a bright dot and was outside the Amazon return period so I had to go directly to ASUS for support. First I attempted to call their support line directly to get guidance. I was given a case number and told someone would contact me within 1-2 days. Naturally no one ever follows up with me and shame on me I failed to follow up on the case further at this point. Two months later I attempted to follow up with their support again as the bright dot had become impossible to ignore. Again I'm given a *new* case number and told someone will follow up within 24-48 hours. I receive no guidance, no follow up whatsoever. I've come to believe that this is ASUS' strategy to "run out the clock" on support so for any buyers you definitely need to make sure you press them as they will make zero effort to follow up or provide any support. Another two months pass and I'm trying to follow up once again to find out what's going on with my ticket and I've come to learn that their entire support process is like a russian nesting doll. Every response you send results in ANOTHER case number being assigned and a new representative who you now have to explain all over again what the issue is. At this point my device is out of the ASUS warranty period, had they responded initially it would not be, again shame on me for not pressing this harder when the issue was first identified. Also they have a notice on their site stating a "ZERO BRIGHT DOT" guarantee yet almost no one I speak to at ASUS seems to understand what that means. I have to chase the email threads with their various support representatives (no less than 15 follow ups and 8 representatives) constantly to get direction on what to do and am finally issued some direction around an RMA. I'm told that because my device is out of the warranty period my only option is to proceed with a diagnostic & repair. I have to spend $85 to even get an RMA# issued and then another $30 on packaging to get it safely to the repair site. I think perhaps I naively hoped that once they saw it that clearly the "bright dot" qualified at a minimum for a discounted repair or perhaps even replacement given their "guarantee". But no I'm told that in order to repair the bright dot, which they describe as a dead pixel despite it clearly emitting light, that they need to replace the entire panel. This will cost $950 which is nearly the cost of replacement, which I hate to admit is what I did (this time with a 4 year service plan since I know I can't count on ASUS). So I could not ever recommend anyone else ever purchase an ASUS product. I did because I had understood they were the premium gaming brand but I've learned not only from my experience but from others as well that all your paying for is the brand name. You are not buying a quality product that will last and you certainly are not buying any level of customer service that you can count on. Recommend you look at Acer, LG, Samsung, really any other major brand out there before you even look at ASUS for a monitor or any other component really.

As good as it gets for the right gamer
EDIT: Feb 2021 The monitor started having issues 4 months after purchase well after the return period. The internal fan stopped spinning and the monitor would heat up after 30 minutes and would not display an image. I tried my luck with Asus RMA and after initially accepting, they realized that the SN number on the outside did not match the panels interior SN. Luckily after some begging on my end they were able to fix but were extremely reluctant. Keep in mind when purchasing that you will not be able to use manufacturers warranty and that you're pretty much screwed after the return period if something goes wrong. Most refurbished items come with an additional warranty but not on Amazon Now that the average price has decreased to around $1200 range, if purchased through an Amazon Renewed seller, I can wholeheartedly recommend this as the ultimate monitor. Paired with an RTX 2080 ti (or two in my case) this is a revolutionary way to play games. Amazon Renewed: I purchased this as Amazon Renewed and is essentially refurbished from a return unit. The monitor came in the original packaging with all included accessories. The monitor and accessories were in great to new shape. There were no scratches or any signs of use on the monitor and after inspecting for dead pixels or defects I can attest that everything is as it should be. The only complaint I have is that the seller (AZUSA-IOT) placed two small cheap paper stickers on the bottom of the monitor on two exhaust grills. When peeling them off, they came apart and left residue and paper in the grill itself. I was able to clean it but it wasn't easy and when buying a $1200 monitor it's unacceptable. I appreciate the branding attempt but please next time use either vinyl stickers that come off easily or place them on the packaging. Anyways like I said everything else was as expected so I would highly recommend using this method to save a few hundred dollars from MSRP. PG27UQ: This is not my first experience with this monitor. I originally purchased around release but could not justify the cost with the hardware available at the time. Even with 1080 ti or Titan SLI it was still too difficult to achieve balanced settings and framerates at 4K. With the current RTX generation and the upcoming Ampere cards, we are finally at a place where 4K high refresh rates are achievable. This being said, temper your expectations. This monitor is for a specific gamer with the right hardware. For people that play single player graphic intensive games this monitor is for you. If you primarily play competitive fast paced shooters and don't care as much about graphical fidelity, there are many better options available. That's not to say that you can't play those games but it is a waste if that's your goal. Playing through Doom Eternal, Red Dead 2, the Witcher on this monitor is something you have to see to understand. With at least an RTX 2080 you can achieve amazing visuals and in my setup of Nvlink 2080 ti, I play pretty much every modern game at highest settings between 80-120FPS. While you can overclock to 144hz most games can't hit that without some compromises. The results are incredible especially in games that take advantage of HDR. While Windows is still not great at HDR it has come along way. This is the first monitor that can do HDR well aside from the newer Asus and ACER $2400 ultrawides. SDR and HDR color and brightness are fantastic out of the box having been calibrated. The FALD does produce some visible halo but is barely noticeable in most times and at worst is a minor annoiance. The picture is as good as it gets until OLED brightness gets figured out. As I said I used this monitor before switching to several 1440p 144hz monitors from Dell, Asus, Samsung, and Gigabyte. Each one was fine in their own regard but having been spoiled by the PG27U, was a huge step down.

A+ for quality given that it's a renewed product
If you were to sit this monitor next to a brand new one, i would not be able to tell the difference. My monitor came in original packaging, and while it showed minor, insignificant signs of re-packaging, the product was in absolutely perfect condition. I have had no issues so far with any dead pixels or backlight bleed, and is working perfectly so far. I will admit i was hesitant to make a large purchase and roll the dice on a renewed product, but i can safely say that it was worth it. would recommend.

The best Amazon purchase I have ever done
This monitor really rocks! Although the monitor came in a box that really looks worn out (as this is a renewed item), nevertheless all the components were included and the monitor itself looks good as new! The colors pop, and the HDR (especially in Farcry) is really superb. If you have doubts about getting this monitor, I'd say you go for it! Even watching movies in SDR spells a lot of difference. The only thing you you should beware though is the state of HDR in Windows 10, which is kind of a little buggy and slows down the interface once in a while. But I won't count such a glitch against this superb monitor and all that it can do!

Amazing monitor
This monitor is ideal for high end resolution and 4K gaming. It is very pricey but well worth it if you can afford it and I am glad I invested in it. No disappointments so far.
