Doll is made of cotton/polyester blend plush material- spot clean only, measures approxiamtely 13 inches tall; Companion booklet is printed on 80% recycled material. Fr. Juan Pablo is dressed in tradtional black clerical cassock garment. Companion booklet features stories from a priest in Rhode Island, Franciscan Friars of Renewal, the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, and the Dominicans. Recommended for ages 0-3 years. Review: I love my Wee Believers Fr. Juan doll - Children in the grammar stage of development require concrete - tangible - objects and pictures to learn. I use the Fr. Juan, Virgin Mary and Jesus dolls and other props to teach the basic names in their religion and also the kids carry them in a “follow the leader to Jesus” procession when we usually sing our crowd favorite “Jesus Loves me” before having circle time to practice group prayer and have bible story time. I used a pack of felt sheets (from Dollar Tree, I think) and cut out neck inserts and decorated with gold glitter glue to make liturgically coordinated chasubles for our Fr. Juan doll. It was maybe a 20 minute project? One day I’m going to grab pre-cut quilting squares and make some even better looking ones but I’m pleased with how the felt ones came out, considering the time/effort reward. Review: Great product - My two year old loves taking his priest doll to Mass. The doll has held up well under the strain of being a toddler's toy.
