I have been wanting a boars hair brush for a while and seen the really expensive ones on line but I wasn't going to pay that. Well I got this and asked my daughter if she wants one but she thought it was silly so I didn't. First thing she grab it and tried it now she wants one. The brush is made really well and it solid made but light weight. I have really thick and course wavy hair that gets frizzy after I brush. This brush doesn't frizz my hair it makes it feel really soft and smooth. It goes through tangles very easily and I hardly have any hair in it after. I usually lose a lot of hair in the brush but not this one. It feels weird at first because it's hard to explain but you can tell it's touching every hair. You can feel the resistance it will actually wear your arm out brushing your hair in the best way. This is a great buy if your looking for a brush that will not damage your hair. Definitely will buy again if needed and for gifts. Also my daughter wants one now so I ordered her own and got my MIL one for her birthday.

I wanted to get a natural bristle hair brush for some time now and received the brush and comb in a timely manner. As I am of a "Certain Age", my hair is finer in texture and my scalp is more sensitive, so stiffer plastic brushes are too harsh. An earlier review indicated it was not suitable for thicker or coarse hair, so this brush is just perfect for me. It is gentle on my scalp and goes through my hair with no snags. The comb that came with this order was also very gentle and I was able to comb my hair without difficulty or snags. Finally, the box came with three hair loops made of a slightly-harder plastic. So far they work great and I don't think they will stretch out like the soft rubbery ones I have used in the past.

The boar bristle brush I ordered is just what I wanted. I like the little comb for cleaning the brush and the quality is good.

This brush seems to be very good quality. It takes a little bit to get used to the different feel of it from the hard plastic brushes I’m used to. I have very long, fairly thick hair and it doesn’t go through it all the way so I had to learn to brush in smaller sections. This gets through all my hair thoroughly. Once I’ve done this and gotten the tangles, mostly at the nape of my neck, out of my hair, then I can brush through. It leaves my hair shiny and very strong without stretching and pulling. The results are stunning when I use it at night to distribute my hair oil, then put my hair in a silk cap. In the morning I can remove the cap, give it a quick run through with my fingers or the brush and be ready for the day. The brush is comfortable to hold and maneuver, as well as being comfortable against my scalp. When I’m finished I’m able to clean quickly with the included comb and a quick rinse. Editing to add, if you have long hair and have a problem with static with the brush, you can use a small amount of leave in hair oil or hairspray on the bristles themselves and it seems to alleviate the issue for that use

Love this brush it made my hair so soft . It was nice to have comb with it and hair ties . Grip is easy and my hair is thin and it doesn’t pull my hair . I switched from wet brush . I wouldn’t use another !

I want to preface this with saying my hair is already damaged since I used to bleach and dye it often, if your hair is already healthy then you might not have the same issues I did. My hair is very fine and it's always been frizzy while drying, but I don't think this brush helped much. It was difficult to run it through my hair even after going in with a detangling brush first and actively made it even frizzer than before; this is especially true for the shorter layers in my hair. It kind of feels abrasive even when I'm brushing my hair while its oily before a shower. I'm not expecting a brush to be super soft or whatever, but I don't think it would suit anyone with sensitive skin/scalp or if you already have damaged hair. It didn't work as a detangler, it didn't work as a normal brush, I ended up just using it to brush my dog's fur instead of my hair so it wouldn't be a wasted purchase. It works fine on their fur, and their fur is a lot thicker than my hair, so... Maybe you'll have better luck if you have thick hair? Not a great comparison but it's something. So like... Yeah it brushes your hair so it functions as a brush, but I think I'll stick with other types of brushes since it just didn't work for me.

Best purse-sized brush. Gentle, effective on removing tangled. Moves the oils through your hair so I don't have to shampoo as often, which is great since my hair is normal/dry.

This is the second BLACK EGG Boar Bristle Brush I have purchased for myself. I love the brush for my hair type- thin, baby fine long hair. It is very easy to clean. I keep this one in my camper so that I don't have to wag it in and out or accidentally lose it, which has happened to my reading glasses. The brush and bristles are very good quality. I love the bamboo handle, also, it feels good in my hand and I love brushing my hair before bedtime and when I wake up in the morning. Good scalp massage as the brush pulls through my hair.
