Good retractable leads

Thought these were supposed to be Bend cycle tested the 30,000 Bends. Not even 6 months old and the resistance is up to 9 ohms when you check it through the leads. I tested these with other meters and they all said the same . (Fluke 87V, amprobe nav52, and fluke 367) I ordered these because they're made by fluke, obviously Fluke is just a name and made in America don't mean anything. The idea is great but the quality is poor. Can't wait to see whether or not they'll do any kind of warranty. I'm sure they'll say since it was ordered on Amazon tough luck. Just so you know be careful because most manufacturers are voiding their warranties if you buy it on Amazon. I purchased two of these and I haven't used the other one yet, so hopefully it doesn't do the same thing. When you wiggle the base of the probe the resistance comes back lower again. Totally disappointing and I don't believe if it said Fluke on it, if there would be any difference because they're both made at the same company. I will update if they take care of the situation. Probably should have bought local.

These are great probes, I love how they feel, and I do like how, depending on the setting, less or more of the conductive tip shows (on high voltage, less shows, so you are less likely to touch something that could blow you across the room!)Good length on the cables - Not so long that they just get in the way and fill your bench up.Very happy with these.

These are nice test leads that have the great retractable shield feature for the probe tips. This comes in super handy when you have to probe a tight area and need to avoid accidentally shorting out to an adjacent pin or trace. The materials are good quality and it all seems nicely finished and durable. The twist shield works smoothly.The one complaint I have is that the banana plug end of the leads that connects to the meter or other instrument has a plastic collar on the insulating cover that prevents the lead from being used with many meters. This is especially true of lower voltage or inexpensive meters. These require that the female plug on the meter have a recessed area around the center contact that can accept the plastic shield collar of the banana plug from the lead. So, these leads will only work with my more expensive field service pro-grade meter and not with my Harbor Freight specials. A small issue, but nonetheless and issue that prevents them from being universal.Other than that, great stuff.

I recently reviewed the Pomona 6343 Test Probe Kit. Over the years, I've ended up with quite a few multimeters: ExTech, Ideal, Sperry, and some great ones from Fluke. The 6343 Test Probe Kit fits all of them and provides a set of leads that is far superior to most and at least equal to the best leads from Fluke. The best part is the flexibility of the wiring itself, making maneuvering into difficult positions much easier. What is NOT included in the 6343 kit is what we have here in the 7519A set, namely a pair of probes where the length of the tip can be essentially adjusted through a controllable plastic sheath. The design is largely created to protect the user from exceeding safety limits by mistakenly touching the wrong lead while in the midst of a tight area. So not only is your risk reduced, but there's also the benefit of not potentially destroying your gear by touching a main at exactly the wrong time with the wrong test tip. Why, you ask, don't you just leave the tip short all the time? You just might, but there are plenty of situations (battery testing, for example) where it's just easier to have plenty of test lead showing. Here, you can control that in a pair of cables that are highly flexible and that have significant bend protection where it is needed. I don't see these as wearing out any time soon, even with near constant daily use. And again, the 7519A set fits all my multimeters. No problems at all here.
