Excellent catfish reels
Great inexpensive catfishing reels. Perfect for 8 plus foot catfishing rods.

Fantastic budget friendly reel that works.
Smooth reel for a budget friendly price. I’ve been using Shakespeare size 50 reels for my salt water surf and pier fishing since 2017. They work great. I’ve landed tons of huge fish with them. This size 60 is going on my 9’ surf rod. I can tell by the feel of it that it’s gonna work great. As with all my reels, I take them apart and lube them good with a premium silicone oil prior to use. These reels were already properly greased at the favtory but I did my usual service job anyway. I also run premium braid on these reels instead of mono. This Shakespeare Alpha 60 is gonna perform just fine for years to come and if I drop it in the sand or salt, I don’t worry about ruining an expensive reel.

Nice little reel,,
I bought two of these reels ,,They're very lightweight and they cast surprisingly pretty far for their size,,

Cheap as dirt, but does the job
I think these reels are a great deal. I first purchased a couple as rod/reel combos at Walmart at the beach....I wanted something cheap for surf fishing on vacation and this fit the bill. Came with a heavy 9' rod and worked to catch fish. I figured I'd get a week or two of use out of it before they locked up, but I wound up using the reels for over 5 years before one gave up and the other for probably 3 or 4 additional years before the handle broke off from salt corrosion. The way I use reels at the beach that is saying alot. I always wash things off after use, but I don't hesitate to submerge a reel in salt water...things get knocked over in the sand etc and for such a cheap reel to stand up to the equivalent of several months of abuse like that is pretty good. They get the job done in basic style....I've caught tons of fish along with some 4-5' blacktips on these rigs. Side note - the 9' bigwater rods are still going strong...put some Penn reels on them and kept fishing.

Great bang for the buck!
For 15$ this reel has held up to a lot of abuse and big fish! You get what you pay for but this thing is worth every penny. Landed 50lb black drum, bull reds, aligator gar, huge blue cats, etc. They aren't built to last a lifetime but I have had the same one last me a full season of saltwater and freshwater fishing before failing. And I didn't stress about dropping it in the water or mud like my expensive reels, never even opened it up for a cleaning and it still served me well trip after trip. Great reel for the money, sometimes they can be found for dirt cheap when they go on sale.

Basic reels
I own several. Will probably buy more. They catch fish. They could have a few more features. Just basic reels. Great for what you pa y for them.

Junk
Looks like junk. They shipped both reels with no handles. What ever happened to quality control? If you want a good spinning reel under $50 just search. There are a bunch of them, from reliable manufacturers. Don't buy this junk.

Smallest Version Works well with Ultralight Pole
Got the smallest (20b?) version and it works well with an ultralight pole. No issues, none anticipated. Seems sturdy enough.

En relación calidad-precio es buen reel, buen tamaño para práctica de la pesca mediana, muy apto para el bagre, mojarra, carpa, suave, bien construido, bobina de buen tamaño. Muy recomendable.

This reel is junk. No reverse switch. The bail arm will not open when the spool is at a certain angles, the amount of play makes this look like a kids toy and to top it off it looks like one. If I knew that before I took it out the package I would have sent this back. Save you money and buy one from Temu might not last any longer but at least it will look better and work smoother.

Reel works fine so far. I only got out fishing once with it though. There was too much line on it i think. My 5th cast and about 1/4 of the line came off in a bunch. Cut it off and still have enough to cast a out 75 feet.

No. I prefer a closed face reel. Gave it to my nephew
