d-c-fix Self-Adhesive Film - 346-8027

This product is awesome. You get a ton of the paper in one roll. I had more than enough to do the project I wanted it for plus some for more projects of the same size. I probably have enough to do two more of these desks the same way. It went on fairly easy, but easier with two people. It’s very smooth and shiny and does make my desk look like a marble top. Also much easier to clean and wipe down than the previous painted wood. Some tips: -the best way to apply it is to first cut it to fit, and lay the precut paper across the surface you wish to put it on. Have someone else present on the center of it to hold it in place. On one end, peel back about 2-3 inches of paper from the backing. Press it on from the middle of the edge, and press out the bubbles towards the sides. Now with the backing still on the vast majority of the paper, roll up the other end of the contact paper upside down. So the roll is coming back from the top.. does that make sense? Now as you pull off the backing slowly, i roll the rest and smooth out the bubbles as you go. -leave a little extra on the edges to wrap around and underneath -use a blow dryer for the corners and any part of the contact paper that doesn’t have great adhesion. It helps soften the vinyl and smooth out the corners -fold over the edge on the back first. Slit the corners with scissors, then fold down the sides. Then fold down the front last.

Love this stuff. I removed my 3 year old white marble peel and stick counter top because it had started to get pretty ragged...I liked the look when it was new but it didn't age well and it was difficult to get the seams to not be visible when applying. This granite style was much easier to apply and the edges blended perfectly - you can actually overlap the pieces and you cannot see a seam. Very renter friendly - comes up easily with a hot hair dryer.

I swear by the white matte. I’ve bought at least 50 rolls over the years and it’s the easiest to apply and the best color compared to white paint. Funny story, I first bought it at Menards 5 years ago. I was allowed to paint my cabinets so I abandoned the whole contact paper idea. I just moved last month and I want a white kitchen. Cant paint here. I couldn’t remember the name of the brand but I did find one tiny piece that didn’t get thrown out. I searched everywhere, bought everything, none were it. Then I found the red grid lines on the back of it and almost cried I was so happy. I’m in real estate so staging is necessary and I love projects at my own home. This is THE BEST CONTACT PAPER FOR CABINETS. It blows EVERY SINGLE COMPETITOR OUT OF THE WATER. A lot of people don’t realize something is purple til they compare it to what it should be. 2 suggestions: DO 2-3 layers to make it that softer white and DO NOT use a hairdryer unless you’re tightening around the edges. Bubbles galore otherwise.

We worked together to cover our bathroom vanity and had to pull up and reapply a few times. The product held up and remained sticky, there's a few spots that looks like grit underneath. Idk if it was on the vanity itself or tiny bubbles. Overall it looks nice and for the price well worth it. We've had it on about 2 months with no issue.

Liked product,but wish it was thicker

It is easy to work with, but no matter how much of an expert you think you are with contact paper you will still get bubbles. This product seemed to give me more bubbles, but if you poke a hole with a razor and then use a credit card to smooth it out the bubbles disappear. You really have to clean the counter purposefully, measure carefully, cut carefully, and apply slowly to get a good result. A hair dryer is helpful for areas that don’t want to stick down at first press. Overall, it will suffice until we move out of the rental we are in.

I had a yellow/tan plasticky counter before and here it is now with the contact paper on. Probably the cheapest dramatic change that I've done to my reno house so far. Obviously it doesn't feel like granite but it really makes the kitchen look 100 times better. You can't even tell until it's a sticker until you're right next to it. It was very easy to apply but you have to use something to push out air bubbles when you put it on. I just rubbed it with the edge of a credit card as I put it down. I used a razor to cut the edges and there are no weird tears or jagged lines. Around the sink was the most difficult but I ended up cutting it into 2 pieces and having them meet in the middle. It probably could have been done in one piece but I wanted to get it done quickly.

Semi Hard to use and easier to work with in smaller sections very slowly. Have patience and you won’t regret it. Completely changed the look of my kitchen. Red and yellow stains this contact paper but it’s removable with a drop or two of bleach. With that being said I clean my kitchen like I wash my face so stains don’t have a long time to set. It’s thick enough but you will mess it up eventually if you cut on top of it. We sat a large cutting board on the counter and have had no problems. This pic is about a month after putting it on. Watch you tube videos for help. I didn’t use windex or water. I have a few air bubbles but they don’t bother me, big ones I poked a hold in. I Do not regret this purchase.

La pellicola è di buona qualità. Le texture sono belle e resistenti ai graffi. La colla è molto efficace. Bisogna impegnarsi un pochino per fare un lavoro preciso, sopratutto se le superfici sono curve. Bisogna avere pazienza. Possono rimanere comunque delle piccole bolle, ma si possono rimuovere facendo un piccolo taglio con cutter e spremere l’aria intrappolata all’interno. Consiglio di spruzzare prima un pochino di acqua sulla superficie per aiutare l’applicazione della pellicola.

La compré para forrar un aparte del mueble del salón que se amarilleó y no salía con nada. Ha quedado perfecta. Fácil de poner y pega muy bien, dando margen a despegar si te equivocas

Ich lese von anderen Käufern wie toll die Klebekraft von diesen SELBSTKLEBENDEN Dekorfolien ist und frage mich ob ich zu blöd bin damit zu arbeiten. Ich habe 8 verschiedene Dekore gekauft, aber es klappt mit keinem. Ich bastle inzwischen seit 40 Jahren mit Dekorfolien, am liebsten mit de-c-fix. Aber jetzt hält die Folie auf keinem mir gewähltem Untergrund. Ich beklebe Schachteln, Boxen, Dosen usw. Aber ohne doppelseitiges Klebeband geht gar nix. Sehr, sehr Schade!!!!!

Easy to install I recovered a counter in our motor home ... I ran out as you’ll se in the pic but another is on order it’s very forgiving and you can’t see the seams do to wood grain detail.
