If you own a tiller drive outboard motor boat, sometimes you will find that the driver's seat can be a little too close to the motor resulting in difficulty turning/swinging the motor handle without hitting the driver's seat. This sliding bracket can help to alleviate that issue. You can adjust/slide the seat forward as needed and then back again at your convenience. I had the same item in another boat and it held up well there. It arrived quickly and it was just as advertised. Just be aware of how it mounts to the seat so that it will work on your situation. The larger part of the bracket gets attached to the seat and then the smaller half of the bracket gets attached to the current swivel of your seat. Pretty easy to do if you know how to use a screwdriver and a wrench. You will likely have to provide your own bolts for the smaller half of the bracket attaching to your current seat.(About a dollar's worth at a hardware store). Once installed, this bracket will add about 2 inches in seat height, so again, just be aware. It seems to be built well and I believe it's a good rust resistive finish. It slides easily and it's easy to add a little grease/lube if you feel that you want to. It's a good solution to a common problem. At this point, I recommend.

Love this mount. Allows me to sit closer to the center of the boat while fishing and allows me to slide the seat over so I can operate the tiller controls while under way. A nice side effect is that it gives me more seat height. That provides me with better visibility when I’m on a plane. The boat is a 2015 River-hawk B52 which is very similar in construction to a Gheenoe and comes in at about 15’ 8”. I did mount an Attwood Quick Disconnect Seat Mount (6.25”) which makes removal of the seat a simple task. This adds a little extra height to the seat too.

I installed this to my new boat seat to be able to adjust the closeness to the dash. The directions are not very good. It would be nice to be able to just slide the base in from my existing Springfield seat, although the track is just a bit narrow so I had to add the complete mount. This will raise the seat by about an inch and a half.

Seat bracket works flawlessly, supports my weight well. (240 lbs). Only thing I saw was there was not much grease on the slide. I added a little axle grease and it works very smooth. It moves me forward enough to allow my tiller handle to pass behind the seat and then move back when I am fishing.

Made a big difference ony kayak. Helped adjust distance to pedals and allows me to move backwards to easily access compartment in front of seat. Easy to install and secure seat. Would highly recommend.

The two stroke outboard that originally came with my 1980’s 16’ alumacraft seized. The outboard replacement came with a longer tiller that would hit the back of the driver’s chair making it dangerous to drive - see before picture. This chair rail solved the problem. Mounted it on a plywood wrap around base to avoid drilling into the boat structure thereby preserving this classic boat. Not the prettiest solution but beats buying a new $400 chair that requires bolting into the boat structure!

Used it for mounting a gaming chair. very well made and great value for the price.

Works great in my aluminum boat at the front. Makes balancing the boat easy.

Fits as says it will. Great quality and smooth operation. Does raise the boat seats about 2 1/2 inches but makes it much easier to get seated behind the steering wheel.

So far so good. Fairly easy to mount and it doesn’t add too much height to the seat. Was perfect for my application. Slide mechanism works well so far.
