Beautiful book!
This is a beautiful cookbook, full of recipes I will bake. There are different sections of flavors. Also, there are "quick" recipes in each section which I find quite lovely. The book is beautifully written and photographed- drool-worthy! I have over a thousand cookbooks and this one I am sure will be a favorite.

Great gift!
I got this for my father, who had shown an interest in baking desserts...Now he won't stop! And he gets almost giddy excited whenever he makes something because he knows it tastes amazing. I would definitely recommend. Plus the photos are done very well, it makes it seem like it could almost be a coffee table book!

Beautiful cookbook
This cookbook is one of the most beautiful cookbooks I own the photography is outstanding and the recipes and beautifully written and organized. Outstanding will be buying more of her books.

Ohmygosh! Mostly Chocolate!
This huge tomb is a full 400 pages of deliciousness! I’ve made white chocolate Amaretti Bundt Cake (swoon), Chocolate and raspberry marshmallow slice, caramel cheesecake, and choc cherry and coconut bars so far! Love, love this Baking Book !!

I did so much research, still disappointed.
I've been searching for the baking version of The Food Lab, and this isn't it. I read SO MANY reviews of this book and thought I knew what I was getting. I was so wrong. For an American home baker like me, there was nothing redeeming. Every recipe has thyme or juniper or quinoa or something that does NOT go in a baked good, in my world. Okay, well I'll just leave out the weird stuff! Nope, the author is Australian. I tried several times to check the glossary and the internet for ingredients she references, and found nothing. Finally, I've been an American hairdresser for 10 years. I don't know what 36mm is, and I have no interest in having to remove ingredients, substitute ingredients, and do conversions for EVERY. SINGLE. RECIPE. in this book I just paid for. I just wanted to know HOW to control how my brownies come out, with a solid brownie recipe that I could tweak (and a cookbook with that format for all classic recipes). I guess I'll have to wait for J. Kenji Lopez-Alt to publish a baking book :(

This is a gorgeous book. I do like Donna Hay and her recipes. When I visit my daughter in Australia I always make sure I buy her monthly magazine that is issued over there as it is just full of the most lovely stuff. The first section in this book is Chocolate and I just drooled over the pages - chocolate and maple banana cake, white chocolate and amaretti cake. Fig and chocolate truffles (I am making these for Christmas) there are so many imaginative recipes and the instructions are simple and uncomplicated and accompanied by beautiful photographs. There are quick and easy recipes here as well and the feeling is that this is a book which can be used by most competant bakers and cooks. It is not high brow or pretentious in any way. All recipes are, as in all cook books these days, given in metric and no imperial measures and I always find this sightly irritating. But that is my only criticism of a beautiful book. I dislike the word ‘accessible’ as i think it is over used but everything in this book is. A treat to read even if you never cook anything from it!

Muchas de las recetas son realmente aplicables. Incluso considerando los ingredientes, se pueden tener buenos resultados con los sutitutos adecuados. Las fotos son hermosas y las descripciones precisas. Gran adición a la biblioteca de cocina!

Questo libro è bellissimo (grafica, copertina etc) e le ricette ottime come praticamente tutte quelle di Donna Hay che seguo da anni. Non do 5 stelle solo perché ci sono volute 3 settimane per averlo oltre all’ulteriore ritardo rispetto alla consegna prevista.

Donna Hay is great at providing easy to follow recipes for bakers of all abilities. This book covers everything, from the very simple quick fixes to more complex recipes and always guides you to great results. I usually find cookbooks only have a handful of really useful recipes but it’s not the case here. Each desert is different and interesting enough to catch my attention, and I’ll be baking my way through it all- at the cost of my waistline. A must purchase for all baking fans!
