MidTen Bore Sight Laser 9mm/223 5.56mm/30-06/25-06/270 Laser Bore Sighter Boresighter with Batteries

Product is great. Works as described and was fairly accurate first try. Can’t complain about anything. Would recommend the product 100%. It would be nice to have an on/off switch. Product requires the batteries be taken out to turn off, which is not ideal in my mind, but how often do you genuinely need to use it?? Very niche issue.

I wanted to sight-in a Holosun SCS MOS optic on my Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS. The optic uses a green LED, so I wanted to get a laser in red so I could tell the optic's reticle from the laser dot. This tool fills that requirement. The reticle on my sight can be switched with a press of a button. I chose the circular reticle without a dot in the center. I put a mark on the rear of the laser so I could check whether the sight adjustments would change if I rotated the laser from 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. I turned on the laser, put it in the chamber, found a white surface at the yardage I wanted to zero, and looked through the optic. While aiming at the white surface, I adjusted the sight's elevation and windage until the red laser was centered in the green reticle. I opened the action, and rotated the laser 90°. I checked to see if the red dot was still centered in the reticle; it was. I repeated this measurement for 6 and 9 o'clock. The red dot hardly moved from one orientation to another. This confirmed for me that the laser's axis was true in the bore. I will shoot some rounds through the gun to verify that the optic is correctly set, but it's raining outside, so this will have to wait. Nevertheless, I have high confidence that this method is sound and my optic's reticle will be centered on the point of impact. My test was conducted at 36', and I don't expect the zero to vary much at other yardages. If this were a rifle, I'd still have some work to do, but I don't expect to be shooting at vastly different ranges with a pistol. The laser is quite bright. The three button batteries are supposed to power the laser for an hour. The total on-time to zero my sight was maybe 15 minutes, so I've got plenty of reserve battery power for another day. A nice, easy to use tool that saved me time and ammo. Pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this to make it easier to get an initial alignment setting for a micro red dot sight that I am adding to a new "personal healthcare protection device." After reading some reviews, I was a bit concerned, but figured with the overwhelming number of positive reviews, that it would likely work fine. It actually works better than expected. The laser dot is much brighter than I expected and is pretty much exactly centered in the bore sight with no perceivable angle. In other words, it shines perfectly straight. I first put it carefully into an older firearm to test it out and compared it to my known good factory sights. After 10+ yards, there was a slight drift from the POA (point of aim) but still very, very close. I rotated the bore sight around and checked multiple times. It always had the same drift. Next, I put it in my new one and compared it to the adjustable sights that I had dialed in after a range session a few days ago. The laser was dead on where I had the sights adjusted to. This is pretty encouraging about the accuracy of the bore sight, as well as the accuracy of my manual adjustments based on live fire. It looks like this laser bore sight will be a great tool to help with the initial set of my red dot once I get that mounted. Pros: Bright Straight Easy to use Cons: Would be nice if it had an on/off switch instead of having to remove the batteries.

Bought this bore laser to sight in a 9mm pistol with multiple mounted lasers, and it worked perfectly. It fit securely in the barrel with no noticeable play or movement, which made alignment easy and consistent. It allowed me to zero the lasers accurately without wasting ammunition at the range. Very easy to use and well worth it.

This thing is spot on in a HK VP9. It allows for the chamber to close and fits firmly without getting stuck. As has been said before, it will not eject, and so you have to thunk it out or poke it out. The laser is quite powerful and easy to see. Great to sight in a green dot because of the contrast. Whether this is for you depends on your use case. If you do a lot of boresighting you will want something easier to use and with an on off switch. The batteries are teeny tiny and to keep having to remove them to turn it off is a great inconvenience. If you are only occasionally sighting in a Trijicon or other premium sight that is permanently mounted, this is a great value. Just carry a little baggie for the batteries and forget about it in your bag. But if you are going to use it a lot, its going to get annoying and you will drop and maybe lose the tiny batteries. I carry alot of these batteries so I put about 10 in my bag. So if you are sighting a rail mounted optic, you may want to consider something else. A little CLP on the outside and it will fall out of your chamber when you open it. About the lack of an on/off switch: I knew of this when I ordered it (apparently some of the other reviews did not read the description) and I was okay with it, that is until I actually had to keep doing it. But at 15 bucks, what the hell, it will be another toy that I don't need but may occasionally find a use for. I even sighted my sons nerf gun and mounted one of the 12 dollar red dots on it. As a note, I also purchased the Okeba 0.22 to 0.50 Caliber Cartridge Red Laser Boresighter. I was astonished at the quality and accuracy of it. They both confirmed each others accuracy. The Okeba is versatile and easy to use from a 22 Ruger Mark IV to a 1911. If you need the versatility or plan to do many boresightings, spend the extra 20 bucks. Or be me and buy both.

As far as I can tell it seems dead on with my pistols iron sights. I bought it to zero in a red dot sight and if its not dead nuts with this its pretty close to tweak it at the range.

If you’re gonna bore site your handguns for 9 mm I recommend getting this. It works great this way if you put a red or green dot onto your pistol for your sites you can lineup your red dot along with the laser for your bore side and so you know it’s gonna be accurate when you do go shooting the recommended distance for this would be a good 20 yards out to make sure it’s gonna be accurate Thank you
