Do Frogs Drink Hot Chocolate?: How Animals Keep Warm (Do Animals?, 1)

This is a really cute book that I am excited to share with my first graders after winter break. It is a fun little book combined with great information about animals.

My kids - 6 and 10 - really enjoyed this and I (mom) did, too! This will go in our regular cozy winter reading rotation! We laughed, and also learned a lot. I had never even heard of tuataras before (we got a kick out of them sitting around the fire playing guitar and singing). It seems hard nowadays to find kids books that are funny without being overly obnoxious. This one is perfect - no crudeness at all, but clean and just the perfect amount of goofiness. I like how it can work for a wide variety of ages, too.

Cute book. My kids really enjoy it as a bedtime story.

I’m trying to build up the nonfiction section of my 4 year old’s library. While the graphics in this book are cartoon illustrations the information is all factual but also presented a bit silly to keep the audience engaged. My daughter and I love this book. She talks about it often when we see animals from this book in other areas like tv or other books. I also plan to take it to school to read with my middle schoolers. I know they’ll love it as well.

This book is a find! It is so much fun! My 3rd grader loved it and got right into it. It lends itself to our science study of adaptation!

Put this in a "snow fun" fundraiser basket for the school, but read through first to make sure it was what we wanted. It is an excellent and fun book. Good information presented with fun artwork, plus some animals included that the kids had never even heard of!

This is a fun, informative and clever tale for 2 1/2 years and up. Asking the same question of the reader elicits enthusiastic responses.
