Catalyst iPhone Xs Case Impact Protection Compatible iPhone X, Military Grade Drop and Shock Proof Premium Material Quality, Slim Design, Sunset

This is the best iphone case I have ever bought. It is not too big, but not really very slim either. It is just perfect. I was looking for a phone case with wrist strap, and it comes with wrist lanyard strap. The really bad design of iPhone X is overcome by this phone case - you immediately know which side is top, and which side is bottom. Volume up/down, On/off buttons are clearly shown and even better than thw original buttons. Mute on/off switch is so nice. I like the color and overall design. I have clip-on lens set for the camera, and surprisingly, the clip-on lens works quite well, which I never expected. The true review should include a drop test, but I’d rather give other nice reviewers a chance to do that ;-)

Love everything about this case! It protects my phone so well, including the screen with the raised edge. It also is not bulky. The lanyard and dial mute switch are fantastic bonus features! Has been dropped a couple times by my 5 year old and there is absolutely no damage to the case or phone! Really a great product!

Edit: Iove the case rating from 3/5 to 4/5!!! After living with the phone and case for almost 2 months, I have not only gotten used to the color, I find that the grip is actually better as it wears in. The only gripe I have at this point is that the polycarbonate back offers only a small amount of raise around the camera. In the current iteration, I would recommend this phone case. The silence dial is just too good to abandon. I rate this product a 3/5 because: Cons: 1. I ordered the sunset color scheme, assuming that I would receive a case that was a bold red (like in the pictures). What I ended up receiving was a case that looks pink in certain lighting and orange under direct lighting. The color is not unbearable to look at but I would prefer if the case was a darker, bolder red. 2. The border of the phone Is pretty slick and slippery. The case has a more plasticy feel than I was anticipating. 3. The case was intended as an iPhone X case and rebranded for use with the IPhone Xs. I know this because the cut out for the rear facing camera is not entirely centered. 4. There isn’t much of a raised border to protect the rear-facing camera. Pros: 1. The rotary dial is intuitively designed and functions very well. 2. The outer border of the case is raised around ~2-3 mm to afford good protection to the face of the phone. 3. Although plasticy in feel, the border of the case is more rigid than I anticipated. 4. The polycarbonate back showcases the back of my phone very well. 5. The buttons work very well. 6. The case is light and does not add unnecessary bulk. Overall: I like the case but I would like “Catalyst” to create a case for the IPhone Xs ( not rebrand iPhone X cases) and raise the border on the back of the phone to provide greater rear-facing camera protection. I would also like the case to offer better grip. I am sold however, on the rotary dial and the ease of use of the buttons. I’d like to see improved color options.

I really love this case. This case feels great in the hand, its easy to hold due to its slim fit. The quality and colors look great. It definetly feels tough like it could take long term use and abuse. I will defiantly get the catalyst impact case for my Iwatch and rubber sleeve-protector for the AirPods when I can afford it. Shipping was fast, I don’t think I’ll ever use a different brand! Great job Catalyst

I like the buttons. Because the buttons aren’t even buttons they can’t be pressed accidentally. They’re as flat as the case is. I like the ringer switch also. It’s a circle crown that’s convenient enough for you to switch up or down so you don’t have to dig your finger into some opening (like every other case out there). I also like that the ringer switch is protected completely! Super original! I’m happy that it’s some what difficult to get my phone out of the case. Makes me feel like it’s not going to fly out of the case if I drop it from high increments! To get your phone out of the case you’ll have to hold it sideways (volume side down) and pull the side out with the lock button first while gently pushing the camera (well that’s the easiest way I’ve figured to how to do it). You will need to take your phone out of the case if you expose it to the elements like water. Because the case is not water proof and water could be in the case or debris of some kind can be seen through the clear back of the case. All that is fine because it iPhone X is water and dust resistant! So I see why this company cut the corner of making it an air tight case. Besides having to take the case off because I work outside and I get pocket debris in the case, it’s really worth the money if you want to go all Catalyst with your Apple Watch and AirPods (which are awesome in relation to this product).

I like that the case is very rigid and feels well made. Since having my phone in this case, I’ve dropped it more than 4 times and after checking my phone, I was amazed to see it was still in pristine condition. The only thing I had to replace was my screen protector. I love how this case doesn’t add extra bulk to my phone and the lanyard is very handy. Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would purchase another.

I have tried many different phone cases for my iPhone X and this one is by far the best. The clear back doesn’t scratch like all other clear cases I have tried including Otterbox and Speck. It’s very slim, lightweight, and gives the feel of a bumber case without the edges being bulky. The option of a wrist strap is nice because it adds a little extra drop protection since you’re less likely to drop your phone while it’s attached to you, but even if you do drop it the case protects it well. Lastly, the rotary knob for the silent switch is very convenient and aesthetically pleasing. I will definitely continue to use this case for my future phones.

After putting the case on I turned over to the back. The camera looked flush but is tricky when looking at it as camera cutout has space around it so camera looks lower when viewing straight on. I then looked sideways down the phone and the camera was flush. I put a straight edge on just the clear plastic back of their case. It slightly touched the camera. I the put the straight edge across case edges for what there is. Above the camera a very sleight amount of air. In a large share of the back the straight edge actually touched their thin plastic back going across the case edges. Maybe being too Cautious but on my 5 IPhone I have a silicone skin for sides and back, Apple I think. Then a tempered glass screen protector. All sorts of normal abuse and drops. I will put this setup against those YouTube mil spec drop test videos that nobody does those things anyway. This goes back. I have now purchased a Ott** Defender and it is night and day. I did spurge and purchased a lifetime screen protector at Apple Store.

Had one of these for years and had no problem until it cracked, replaced with a different make and sent that one back, and bought another Catalyst which is more expensive than most but it works!

Looks great front and back. Adds no depth but does add considerable width, however this only adds to a sense of security that it will protect the phone. Looks stylish and unique and appears like a bumper rather than a full case. Great fit and build quality. I got the sunset colour.
