Nothing is nicer than sharing and giving in this bilingual Arabic edition of the beloved classic by Marcus Pfister! The Rainbow Fish brings universal themes--such as friendship, tolerance, and finding courage--and second-language learning fun to children around the world in this bilingual English/Arabic edition. The little fish with the sparkling scales, who learns the value of sharing and kindness, has enchanted children and grown-ups all over the world. The rainbow fish with its iridescent scales is the most beautiful fish in the whole ocean. But since he is also vain and proud, he becomes more and more lonely over time. Then he realizes that you can't win friends through beauty. He overcomes his pride and begins to distribute his glitter scales to the other fish. A great way to introduce a second language to very young children, be they English-or Arabic-speaking. Meh
The story is not very well written or thought out. The words are not very easy for children to read and the translation is too ridged. I did not enjoy it in English or Arabic. The glittery scale did capture the attention of my son though, visually its not too bad.

Has both languages!
Got this for my sister in law. Her native language is Arabic and she is about to have a little baby in the US! I love that it has both languages in there!!

For strong Arabic readers
We love this book. However the Arabic is a little difficult for readers of dialect or those who are not advanced. Also, because itโs basically Arabic overlay, the book is designed left to right as with English.
