I have a 2009 ford ranger v6 4.0l 4x4. my garage is telling me it doesn't have a fuel filter? does anyone know whether that's correct?

It does have a fuel filter, I would recommend not going back to that shop or garage she told you that because apparently they don't know s*** about f***

If it's the part you need it should be fine. Just remember the connections need to be gently disengaged from the old filter. There are tools available to help but you shouldn't have too much problem using a standard screwdriver.
