Comparing Bosch and Dewalt laser glasses?
I bought both the Bosch DLA001 Laser View-Enhancing Glasses and these glasses in the same shipment. I was paying for overnight shipping and it was no increase in shipping to get another pair so why not? First off, I am using these glasses with the Bosch Dual Plane Leveling and Alignment Laser, Model# GLL2-80 . I doubt that using another make of laser would affect my experience but there you go. Both glasses do the job. They make the red laser line much easier to see in all conditions. Without the glasses, it is impossible to see the beam at 30 feet away in bright sunlight. If you have a red reflector, that makes it possible to see the beam, but you have to work hard to see it and it's difficult to be sure of your measurement. With the glasses, it's much easier. It doesn't fundamentally change the use of a laser level. The beams are still hard to see in super-bright light and/or at a distance. But they are very inexpensive, so you really should get a pair, either pair, to help your laser leveling tasks. Now you want to know which pair is better, these or the Bosch. I will be returning this pair and keeping the Bosch. The Bosch ones make the beam show up just a tad bit more, but really, just a tad. The Bosch glasses are ridonculous-sized, which is a good thing if you need to wear eyeglasses underneath them. The Dewalts are more comfortable. But I don't care about comfort when I'm laser leveling, I just want the best performance. And the Bosch glasses are better than the Dewalts. But either is great.

They work. They also bring out the hippie in you.
Not much to say about these. They are very comfortable. They don't look dorky. They do make the red laser line more visible. I was able to use my line laser outdoors, in the shade, on a bright sunny day. I didn't test them in the direct sunlight but I doubt that they would work for that. But on a bright day, in the shade, I was able to project a visible laser line across the back of a house for a deck I was jacking. Without the glasses only a small portion of the line was visible. It appears that these glasses filter out most light beyond a narrow range of red. So as you walk around in the sunlight, everything is either black or a shade of red. Like living on Mars, or at Woodstock. Very far out. Worth buying even if you don't have a laser. . . man.

Not a miracle worker, but work!
I bought these to read elevations off of a grade rod outdoors, shot off of a PLS180 180-degree Plumb and Level Line Laser laser level. When I'm not using the glasses for viewing lasers, I like to wear them to Starbucks and pretend I'm Bono from U2. In overcast daylight, at thirty or so feet, an otherwise invisible beam becomes visible when projected against the right surfce (white or wood: Yes; dull or shiny steel: No). Granted, I've often still got to hunt for it, and just as often I can remove the glasses an barely make out the beam, now that I know where to look. At 50 feet, forget about it. Got to get to it in early morning or wait for the evening. And my Agatec CPL50 Self Leveling Cross Line Laser Level Kit , being only half as bright as the PLS, is still only good for about half the distance. But all-in-all, these glasses make locating red laser lines in bright light easy, and I'm happy to have them.

Great goggles i use for filtering out violet laser light.
i bought these goggles for the opposite reason they are sold. I have a violet burning/ etching laser i use on my cnc machine and need to wear goggles to look at it without burning my eyes and causing blindness. violet light is filtered out with red lenses. my laser is 405nm to 500 and it is almost completely filtered out. i had cheap googles before marketed for filtering out violet light for lasers and using them i wondered if i should be seeing so much violete light and if they were really working. after using these goggles i now know the other goggles did almost nothing. a great way to see if the goggles filter out your lasers light is to shine it threw the goggles onto a paper or something and see if any light gets past the goggles. (goggles in hand not over eyes). these glasses are very very comfortable and i can wear them for a long time without it getting uncomfortable. they feel very strong and not like they are going to break easily. after trying the first pair i bought a second pair right away so that anyone working on the laser with me can sit there in safty and not loose their sight from looking at the light. These goggles do a great job for my purposes. Side note though. do not drive wearing these. i tried it for a moment just wondering what the world looks like in red. turns out the green of traffic lights is completely invisable to these. it was surprising how bright the light was naturally and how completely dark it was with these goggles on. it really felt like i was being tricked it looked just like the light was off.

Glaases do not look like whats pictured.
This is another Item that got me with the advertised photo. The glasses that I received look nothing like what is pictured in the ad., again. The actual function of the laser glasses does work. I am able to see the laser line when working outdoors on a bright sunny day, this part I am satisfied with. The glasses that I received are a 1 piece unit, not like what is shown with separate black plastic arms. The arms on mine are of the same material as the glasses, red plastic. and also the nose supports are a red plastic molded to the glasses not separate as shown in the picture. This is the 3rd item that i purchased from Amazon where the item received is nothing like the item shown in the ad. I guess that is the price we pay for buying on line and not from a Dept. store where we can actually look, feel and touch the product before purchase.

Comfortable and practical glasses to block out blue light
I use these glasses at night to block out blue light and help me unwind. At first I thought it seemed a little gimmicky, but I find that blocking out the light with these glasses really does help me unwind at night and fall asleep easier. The glasses fit me pretty well. There's no room underneath for glasses if you wear prescription glasses. I can fit my prescription glasses over these if I really need to, but it's not the most comfortable, so I usually use them without my regular eye glasses. The lenses of these red glasses have a curved shape so that they curve around the side of your face and block out most of the peripheral light. If I move my eyes to the side, I still can get a glimpse of the regular light, and they take some regular adjusting to make sure they are blocking out light at all angles. Overall, these are comfortable and practical and really help me to relax at night.

Hey, it actually works.
I was skeptical at first, but thought it was worth a try. I use a Leica laser tape measure for work. Usually this is outdoors. In full sun, the red dot gets washed out for the naked eye. This item defines helps enhance the visibility of the dot. No, it does not jump out and scream at you. But for distances up to a 30 foot wall in full sun, I have found this to be a good addition to my toolkit. It would be even better in partial sun or shade for longer distances if necessary.

Not too dark for blocking blue light.
Some of the "red laser glasses" are extremely dark and block nearly all blue and green light. These are not dark enough to block 100% of the green, but all blue is blocked. However, they do in fact block the majority of green and because they don't block it all, it makes nighttime vision better. The darker red glasses may block 100% of green light but in doing so, pretty much blocks all nighttime vision. I do wish these fit more like the Uvex Skypers as the shape of these does allow some light to seep in that the shape/fit of the Skypers block. Overall, I love these glasses for blue-light blocking, have bought a couple of pairs.

Excelente precio
En distancias cortas 10-15 metros el realce es muy notorio, en distancias mayores ayuda un poco

More of a full daylight aid.
I used this product indoors. Good lighting cannot compete against direct sunlight, which is where this product would provide the greatest benefit. Clarity, material thickness, and sheerness are typical of the industry standard for poly-carbonate safety glasses. The arms are a little short and might interfere with certain types of eyeglasses, but overall this product performs as advertised.

Nice fit, super light
Nice fit, light and sturdy build. Great to enhance red laser lines. Also, excellent for Eleksmaker blue /purple laser CNC machines, offers better protection than the goggles that come with the kits. And if you look outside with them it looks like you are on Mars! Cheapest way to get there!

Cool glasses, brightens up the laser dot a bit
Cool glasses, brightens up the laser dot a bit, but doesn't illuminate it like I was hoping. Would be better if they were Safety Approved.
