Life in Ancient Egypt Coloring Book (Dover Ancient History Coloring Books)

We love this book! All of the Dover books are packed with information and amazing coloring pictures. My 4th grade son loves these books, but my 1st grade daughter thinks they are too detailed for her;) The drawings are not only excellent, but the information and detail within this book was an unexpected treat.

It's a little outdated, but the pictures are spot on and beautiful. I can always depend on Dover to have beautifully and usually accurate historical coloring books. I use these as fun activities for homeschool history, and my kids love them.

Beautifully illustrated images with captions explaining each setting. Just be warned, in the center of the page there is a nude scene in Pharaoh's court with topless dancers. Tastefully done but still might not be something you want your little ones to see. These photocopy excellently so that each my kids can color the page. Wonderful coloring book.

These are pretty detailed pictures. I assumed they'd be for younger kids to supplement Story of the World curriculum. But the reading level on the books is above my 1st grader's level. Although he is having fun coloring the pictures as I read the info to him. It's a nice informative coloring book.

My grandson loves all things representing ancient Egypt and he enjoyed this book. There was one picture with topless girls. (accurate representation from the time period but we were surprised to see it in a children's coloring book. The nudity was easily covered with stickers)

The Dover series of History Coloring books is NOT designed for little kids. These exquisitely intricate pictures are accompanied by detailed historical information about specific areas of interest. They are a wonderful supplement to any history curriculum, especially for children who are visual learners. Look for other volumes in the same series!

It has incredible detail (more than I would have liked as a kid, but this was a gift) and lots of historical information on every page. More than just a coloring book!

For all who love ancient Egypt it is a nice present. And yes there are bare breasts, but for those who know ancient Egypt they know that bare breasts aren't problematic for ancient Egyptians they were not so inhibit as some customers from U.S.
