Does it work Vertical?

Of course not! When is "North" ever going to be straight up or straight down?!? Every compass ever made or ever to be made needs to be held horizontal to work. Some are spherical and do the leveling for you automatically but they still have to be horizontal.

Is it filled with liquid for smooth North pointing? If yes, any bubble inside?

It moves fairly smoothly. It points north. I'm not certain what you mean by a bubble inside, but I can see none. It is an entry-level compass. I bought it for a young grandson (6-8 years).

Is the compass immersible (water-resistant or waterproof)?

By the looks of it, I would say it's water resistant up to just a couple feet and for not a very long submersion. It's pretty wimpy and I'd try to keep it from being submerged.
