It is divided into sections such as sweet tarts and pies and savory tarts and pies...meringues and souffles, celebration cakes, small cakes and everyday cakes etc. etc...which makes it very easy to find exactly what you want. I have over 100 cookbooks collected through the years...and this one is right up there with the best and most usable. I purchased it used in excellent condition and feel it was a terrific buy and very good value. It arrived on time, perfectly packed. Review: Everybody can be a baker - I have been baking cakes, pies, and cookies since I was a teenager and now, I am a senior citizen. I have not baked any of the recipes in this book, yet, but I have read through most of the recipes. I have gotten information for how to make my cakes light and moist and how to make sure they come out of the pan without sticking. Having pictures to illustrate each step is very helpful. Also, many of the cake recipes are for a one layer cake, which is great for me so I avoid throwing out left-over sweets. The only thing missing is there are a few terms I had not seen before in a cookbook. A dictionary of terms at the beginning or end of the book would have been helpful.

Illustrated Step-by-Step Baking with 1,500 photographs. Caroline Bretherton
Although this is a "step by step" recipe book, any experienced cook will love it. The photos are beautiful, the recipes great - and timing, extra tips and whether it will freeze/keep etcetera and for how long, are all thoughtfully included. It is divided into sections such as sweet tarts and pies and savory tarts and pies...meringues and souffles, celebration cakes, small cakes and everyday cakes etc. etc...which makes it very easy to find exactly what you want. This IS an Excellent Book!
I've been looking for an 'Easy to Follow' recipe Baking book like this one for years with Easy steps to follow and a picture of everything to show you what it will look like upon completion. Well not only do you get a completed product picture but Often too you get step-to step pictures and descriptions of each step. OH WOW -- Great. AND I've used this Book that's chuck full of information, and what I made back when I bought the book Worked Well & was Yummy too. Frankly, I'll tell you the Truth, each book (there is one as large in size that has to do with cooking just like this baking one but it has a blue cover instead of the red cover ) weighs approximately 5.25 Pounds and around 10.50 pounds if you pick up the both together. In other words -- Be Prepared. They're HEAVY with thick heavy duty covers. Over all, Both of these Books are Well Worth whatever You pay for them, and you can be any type of a cook to use them too --- from a beginner to an expert. Happy Baking & Cookinng.

Good instructions
I've made the German cheesecake two times because it is so good! It is simple to follow the instructions, it breaks them down into steps and it has good pictures. I've topped it with dulce de leche and the second one with a hibiscus honey topping. It has a variety of recipes from pies, cakes, and provides good details!

It's a great tool with lots of pictures.
This year I decided to stop buying boxed mixes and bake from scratch. The step by step instructions make it a smooth process and the flavors in the recipes are so delicious. I also like that it has other baked goods not found in smaller collections for instance, torillas, beef wellington, nann bread, meat pies of all sorts and so many more bakes from around the world. If you are new to baking or want a more detailed, picture filled book this is for you. I included a picture of the cinnamon rolls I made last week.

I love this book, is simple to follow, has a lot of recipes, you can find the ingredients in USA, it offer you variations for the recipes, the pictures are good, the edition and quality of the paper is nice. If you like baking you won’t regret

El libro llegó en perfecto estado. Lo único malo para mí es que las medidas están en volumen en vez de peso. Creí que serían como otras versiones de este mismo libro que he visto. Odio que diga la cantidad de cucharadas de mantequilla en vez de que sea más precisa y venga en gramos :(

Full and detailed illustrations
I fell in love with this cookbook while visiting London and immediately thought it was the best cookbook and so I had to order it on my return to Canada. Thank you for your prompt response to my order. I really only needed on copy but since you sent me two, I will give the second one as a Christmas gift.

Livro é lindo, mas...
Eu comprei depois de ter visto um parecido na casa de uma amiga e ter ficado apaixonada. O livro é muito bonito e ensina passo a passo da receita com visualizações de cada etapa o que achei incrível. Meu ponto negativo foi impressão do papel, perece aqueles A4 e isso me desagradou um pouco, mas fora isso é essencial pra quem quer fazer receitas diferentes e aprender, e não se esqueçam que ele é todo em inglês, porém não é difícil entender.
