Ecotherapy: Healing with Nature in Mind

As a clinical psychology grad student, I have always been fascinated by environmental influences, especially how healing our earth/planet can be. This book is a great read for those interested in learning more about how "environment earth" can be healing and restorative to the mind and soul. Have you ever been outside on a sunny day and found yourself just basking in the warmth of the sun or the smell of the earth or the sounds that tall pine trees make as they blow in the wind? Do you remember how tranquil that felt? If so, you know exactly how our earthly environment can heal and restore. If no, try it sometime soon. It is a wonderful feeling if you stop to take the time to relish it.That my friends is how ecotherapy is a healing source.

This book is wonderful. I am using it in an Ecotherapy course that I am taking now. It is is a great introduction to Ecotherapy/ Ecospychology. There are varied perspectives and interventions covered in this book that demonstrates the diversity of this new and growing field. It’s a great price for such a gem!

Excellent book and one of a kind... a bit political at times, which was a turn off for me. But overall I would highly recommend it for anyone considering nature's role in therapy.

New field that is essential for the health of our planet and all its creatures, including human beings. Highly recommend this well-curated and edited book.

This is a great book for those seeking to add a ecological approach to their therapeutic sessions with clients. It gives some out of the box ideas, namely wilderness therapy. I enjoyed that it was an edited book too, which means that various professionals in their fields were represented. Great read!

I am a budding ecotherapist and this collection of essays is exactly what I needed to get my career started.

Some neat ideas, but some authors were either depressing or speaking at a level meant for those who've undergone some spiritual epiphany. I was looking for more practical advice.

Read for a college class. Thought provoking & kept me interested.

I bought this for a presentation I was doing at uni. I suited my requirements perfectly. I will carry on reading it as it is a lovely read and makes you want to go outside!!
