does this have metal pieces?

Ours does not. It has wooden saddles

Can someone explain what it means on the cards that read - $50 with 2 gaits, $100 with 3 gaits, $200 with 4 gaits. What are the gaits?? ?

Gaits are typically categorized into two groups: the "natural" gaits that most horses will use without special training, and the " ambling " gaits that are various smooth-riding four-beat footfall patterns that may appear naturally in some individuals, but which usually occur only in certain breeds . Special training is often required before a horse will perform an ambling gait in response to a rider 's command.

Would teenage girls who love horses like this? Adults who love horses? or only elementary age? Thanks!

My 11 yo absolutely loves it. And as an adult, anyone who likes Monopoly and likes horses will like this game. Everything's horse related, pieces, all breeds instead of properties, bales of hay for houses. It's a lot of fun.
