Product Description It's time to learn how to "Monkey Dance" and do the "Shaky Shaky." Ever wonder how to handle "Hot Potato" or make a "Fruit Salad?" From way "down under" comes the #1 children's entertainment name in Australia - THE WIGGLES! Murray, Jeff, Anthony and Greg will have children singing, laughing and grooving to funny tunes about numbers, food and favorite animal friends. Joining them in this ultra-hip, live-action video are special guests Dorothy, Wags, Henry and Captain Feathersword. Millions of Brit Aussie kids can't be wrong - this fabulous foursome is the hottest musical import since John, Paul, George and Ringo! desertcart.com For the non-Australians out there, the Wiggles are a quartet of male songbirds reminiscent of the Monkees, but aimed at the Barney-watching set. The Down Under foursome sings about mashed bananas and hot potatoes, dances with the energy of fitness instructors, and makes mild attempts at being educational. (Three of the four met while studying early childhood education.) Their stab at multiculturalism results in the Jewish song "Havenu Shalom Alachem." Joining them are a big green dinosaur named Dorothy (seem familiar?), Henry the giant purple octopus, Wags the Dog, and a man in a pirate suit called Captain Feathersword. The songs are catchy, the dancing vigorous, and the outfits colorful approximations of the uniforms worn by the original crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise . A couple of the haircuts look like they might have been acquired on the spaceship as well. The 15-song video runs 33 minutes long and claims to be appropriate for ages 1-8, but will most likely appeal to preschoolers and kindergartners. --Kimberly Heinrichs

LOVE IT. A regular in our house...
This was actually owned by my now 7 year old knephew who always asked for it when he was only 1 & a half till about the age of 3 when he discovered "real dinosuars", then handed down to my 1.5 year old twins by request... THEY LOVE IT! the songs are catchy, the moves are catchy, all the colors, songs and dancing keep my twin pre-tods entertained, and not just sitting staring at the TV, but up and moving along to the songs dancing and shaking, laughing and smiling. Though I can see how other parents may get annoyed or creeped out by the puppets (only on two songs), my boys are facinated by them and think the jumping crab is hillarious (which is pretty much the point, to entertain them, not me, though with my backround in Ped's Nursing and as a Teacher in a Child Development Center, Im usually up and dancing along, its just in me to be a big kid).I'm not to fond of some of the other Wiggle DVD's but this one is a regularly played one... Plus, Dad can actually tolerate this one, which is RARE, and dance with his kids(needless to say, he gets a workout too)I'm not big on "TV for young minds" but this truly is a workout video for little ones, they're not just staring into the TV with that blank look on thier face, they're up and doing gross motor, moving all the parts of thier body (age appropriate developmental skills perfect for this age!) which is also always a nice change from the everyday routines.

Our daughter loves the Wiggles - Great tapes for toddlers
Our 20 month old daughter is not that interested in many children's videos but she loves the Wiggles. The music and the dancing keep her attention and she likes to imitate the dances and actions. Of the 3 Wiggle videos that are currently available, this tape is their second best. If you're only buying one tape, I'd recommend "Wiggle Time" over this one. "Wake Up Jeff" is our least favorite Wiggles tape- it must have been done much earlier and with a very low budget. The costumes and props are very "cheap" looking. It's OK, but not as good as the others.Although we play this tape a lot, two of the songs are done by the "Wiggles Puppets." These are some of the strangest puppets I've ever seen and they almost have a demonic look about them. If I were a kid they'd give me nightmares. At first, our daughter was a little afraid of them but now she just tolerates them. There's also a magic sketch in each of the Wiggle videos but we usually fast-forward through it. Maybe when she gets older she'll find this to be interesting but it bores her now.Overall, I think that these are wonderful tapes. They hold our daughters interest. The songs and dances are fun for her to watch and she seems to like the Wiggles characters (Jeff, Murray, Anthony and Greg). It's the only tapes that we have she loves to hand to us, then point to the TV (play this one).

A MUST HAVE...
My best friend has a daughter that is almost 16 yrs old now. She is like a daughter to me! One of her all time favorite shows when she was little was "The Wiggles". I remember the good ol' days!I now have a son of my own that is almost 2 yrs old now. I wondered..."Would he like the Wiggles"? They are not on the air anymore (that I'm aware of). I couldn't seem to find any of "The Wiggles" anywhere. I thought...well...I will check on Amazon...surely they will have some of the old videos that you can purchase. Amazon seems to never fail when you are looking for something that you need/want to buy! Here it is...a video of "The Wiggles"!I am SO thankful! My son is very very active! It is hard for him to sit still for 5 minutes. Let me tell you...not anymore! He begs to watch the Wiggles! He LOVES them! I'm SO very happy that you can still purchase some of the old DVD's! This was a hit 16 yrs ago...and appears to still be a hit for the kiddo's today!!!I would recommend anyone with children (even if they won't sit still) to buy a "Wiggles" dvd. They will be very thankful they did! I'm SO very happy to have been able to find this...and we watch it all of the time!!!

This DVD is just "Yummy"!!!
This is winner from the Wiggles. The DVD has 14 songs and they are all beautifully song by Greg and the rest of the Wiggles. This was definitely a great buy, parents if your little one loves the Wiggles, then don't skip this one...Here are some of my daughter's favorites.. She is 18 mos and already they have her up and on her feet moving and shaking and just enjoying herself....Hot PotatoFruit SaladDorothy the DinosaurHenry the Octopus (Henry's Dance)Crunchy Munchy Honey CakesJoanie works with one hammerDo the MonkeyPoint your finger (performed by Wiggles puppets and she still loves them..)My only complaint is that they could have added more songs to this DVD, too little songs for the price.. On the other hand the songs are all wonderful and so she has to listen to them over and over again!!!

Lo Fi But Delicious
It's in a variety show style, comedy and bits between music video style shorts, with a healthy food and cooking theme. These DVDs seem to be collections of bits from old TV shows - I am not sure the name of the original show in this case, maybe "The Wiggles Show" or something. It's awesome Greg stuff with a lot of classic tunes in the original TV release context. A hungover-looking Paul Hester, the late drummer from the Aussie bands Split Enz and Crowded House, makes an appearance as some sort of fruit-salad-making rock-n-roll chef.In terms of the release - Yummy Yummy is one of those... unfortunate DVDs. Whoever put this together and authored this DVD made mistakes. It starts right away, no menu, just right into a 4:3 format. And this is no OLD release; it is from 2011. The transfer is terrible; it's like someone popped a dusty old tape into a thrift store Betamax and hooked it up to a DVD recorder. The kids don't seem to care, but the contrast between this and the other Wiggles DVDs is pretty stark. The content is good, though there are better authored Wiggles releases out there.

he loves it!
My little great nephew kept saying "yummy, Yummy" over and over to me every time I'd visit. I didn't know what he was talking about until my niece, his mother, explained it was a Wiggles dvd that his friend had and that he wanted. She had tried to find it, but had been unsuccessful. I immediately went on Amazon.com and was able to find the obscure dvd and it made my sweet Chase a very happy boy. He knows all the words to Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy and now I do too. This dvd is obviously timeless since I can't get the tune out of my head and find myself humming it in waiting rooms where other adults smile and ask how I know the Yummy Yummy song. Everyone seems to know it.At the time, I had no idea it was a classic.Yes, I would buy this dvd again. And, probably will.

An absolute godsend during lockdown
Iโm working from home with a toddler during the COVID 19 lockdown. If it wasnโt for Greg, Murray, Anthony, and Jeff I would have lost my mind a long time ago. My son dances to all the songs, and while itโs not really my preferred style of music, it isnโt grating or obnoxious like a lot of other childrenโs programming.

Keeps my baby entertained - but no more puppets!
My baby loves this video. We take it with us when she is going to her aunt's or grandma's house. But the puppets are scary! They are sort of demented looking and freaky. Hopefully they won't do that again! I too saw the preview on the Barney video and thought it was cute. (Had they put those puppets in the preview, we would not have gotten it.) She's not afraid of them, so we don't have to fast forward through them. But, she enjoys all the songs - except for a couple slow ones that she gets bored with. Overall, its fun and for the most part, danceable. I just ordered "Wiggle Time" and we'll see how that one goes. Another plus - this video has taken over for Barney and the Teletubbies (yeah!).

Wonderful Wiggles
This video is simply the most entertaining video that has ever been made.It is aimed at pre-school age and my 2 year old loves it and requests it everyday. He joins in all the actions together with my 5 year old.It is great if you want them to burn of energy without rampaging around the house. There are none stop catchy songs from 4 guys who some would say are very cheesey but this just adds to the fun ! Hey I've heard these guys are millonaires now no wonder they are smiling.

this was good, but the puppets are creepy as hell
this was good, but the puppets are creepy as hell. Having said that, the creepiness doesn't seem to bother the baby - she loves it all the same.
