Nice assortment of old songs.

I concur with Chris G's assessment--this book is not for the absolute beginner, but once you know drop-thumbing and alternate string pull-offs, it's a great deal of fun and provides a nice vocabulary to use (and build on).

Excellent tabs for clawhammer playing. The tabs are easy to read in large print. Not a beginners book but an excellent one when you are able to play after learning in a beginners book. The book contains tabs in G, double C and G modal(sawmill) tuning.

Its a good book. Its pretty easy to understand. Not super technical or hard to figure out loke some books. But overall i would recommend it you want to get into traditional 5 string.

For playing banjo music. My music teacher really likes these books

A wonderful collection of tunes from another era. Thoughtful, easy-to-play sing-along arrangements with nicely written breaks. Grab your banjo and head out to the porch!

Simple arrangements of classics. Formatting is a little wonky in some places, but playable. Arrangements are very simple, to the point of being boring, for the most part. Would be useful for a beginning player.

Mr. Miles has provided a wonderful collection of tunes with great tabs. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Quite a nice variety of familiar folk tunes not always found in the usual clawhammer books. Also nice banjo breaks.

I am pleased I purchased this book because of tunes covered which is the ones I wanted to learn which is why I ordered Ii, plus very Quick delivery.

Useless as a song book, hardly any lyrics. Some songs have no lyrics at all, the others have just one verse and the chorus, which I already know. The music is problematic too, as the pieces are presented in four different tuning modes, so you would have to keep retuning your banjo to read the music. I tune my banjo to G, so only a few pieces are relevant.
