It helps get an idea of the temperature that I anneal brass rifle cartridges

It evaporates in the bottle. I used it two or three times applying literally small DOTs of Tempilaq on brass for annealing for a total of approximately 15 dots. The bottle is now half full, not because i've used that much but because it quickly reduces itself when you open the bottle. Buy the thinner and refresh your bottle here and there... also keep the mouth of the bottle very clean. Otherwise you'll have to break through a cap of dried tempilaq that has gathered on the cap and the bottle mouth. That said, yes, it is useful for annealing as a temperature indicator.

Good weapon to have in your arsenal if you anneal.

Read this ad carefully! The photo clearly suggests thinner would accompany the Tempilaq, BUT the description doesn't include the thinner. This is very misleading. When you include the cost of shipping, there are better deals elsewhere on the WWW. Too bad.

desde el día que llego venia con liquido derramado. cuando lo quise usar nunca cumplió su función, si lo ponía poco tiempo expuesto a la temperatura no sucedía nada como debería ser verdad, pero si lo dejaba mas tiempo esperando que alcanzara su temperatura solo se quemaba y se quedaba pegado en vez de derretirse y por ultima queja, lo quise dejar guardado en un lugar fresco y seco cuidando que no se derramara y cuando volví a revisarlo ya estaba totalmente seco echo piedra y no hubo manera de volverlo a hacer liquido. aunque igual nunca sirvió como un indicador de que el material ya había alcanzado su temperatura. estoy seguro que el frasco que me enviaron ya venia manipulado con alguna otra sustancia por eso nunca funciono
