Makes the perfect low wattacge replacement for outdoor string lights
My old incandescent bulbs for my backyard string lights used to draw a LOT of energy (75 bulbs at 11 watts each = 825 watts = about 7 amps). To put that in perspective, it's more than a 750w space heater! I used a dimmer switch so I can adjust the brightness and set a mood for the evening. The dimmer would get VERY warm. After I replaced them with these Hizashi bulbs the energy usage was GREATLY diminished (<1 watt per bulb = approx. 60 watts = 1/2 amp) without any brightness difference or change in color temperature from my old incandescent bulbs. (SEE: closeup picture of one of the incandescent bulbs with the new LEDs in the background) I actually believe that I get a slightly brighter light from the LED bulbs. The dimmer doesn't even get slightly warm anymore and these have a great range of dimming (10%-100%) without changing the color temperature or developing a flicker. I've used them for around 4 years with only three "burning out" (one leaked with water inside, but still worked for many weeks before it died). Of course, they are made of glass and can break if the string falls to the ground. I've had this happen several times because of a tree branch fell on it. CONCLUSION: These are very good bulbs, long lasting, very well made, nice warm "incandescent" color temperature, dimmable, with amber colored glass that looks nice when lights are off, and have an 'old fashioned' shape... I highly recommend these.

Finally, the perfect LED outdoor bistro light bulb!
Finally, the perfect LED outdoor bistro light bulb! I Purchased these bulbs to replace all the bulbs in my LED bistro strand lights. The original bulbs were way too fluorescent white-ish. So I finally broke down and bought two boxes of these 15 bulbs made by Hizashi. I love them! I replaced all 30 lightbulbs in my patio strands with these new LED Hizashi bulbs. They have the most beautiful old world bistro patio look with golden overtones. They look like the old-fashioned incandescent/Edison bulbs with a very warm golden overtone. They dim and brighten very smoothly without any flickering. When they’re on full brightness, they provide nice lighting with a warm golden overtone but bright enough to clean up after a party… And the dimming capability gives a variety of low level lighting for any ambient mood you seek to establish. You can see from the split photo, the top warm colored lights are these Hizashi Bulbs and the bottom part of the split photo is the cold fluorescent white LED bulbs that came with my bistro patio string. The other two photos are these beautiful Golden toned Hizashi LED bulbs at full brightness and 25% brightness. I could not be more pleased with these lightbulbs, they were worth every penny!

Picture Perfect Match, Video though..
So these light bulbs throw me through a loop. I just received these last night (they were delivered super fast), and I got to replacing the burnt out bulbs in my room. For some context, I have a 48-bulb string light hanging up in my bedroom, and the ambiance is super cozy! So anyway, the lights are in an enclosed area, and so the spread and color of the lights is very noticeable. From what I've seen so far, these bulbs match my incandescents perfectly. Where the loop part comes in, is how the bulbs cast their light. The incandescent bulbs are varied and their light is more caustic than full, and the LEDs cast a consistent solid glow from their origin. Seeing these bulbs side-by-side is kinda bizarre. For the quality, sure as heck these are good quality bulbs. I question the need for a Glass encasing, as these will not produce much heat. When you have hanging lights, and nature + time can make a mess of things, it's nice to have the peace of mind of shatterproof plastics. Just my opinion, though, so if you're looking for that more traditional feel, these bulbs will do it for you. Also good to note, is that the glass truly is tinted a nice amber, but I question it's efficacy in casting a warmer light. Which, actually, leads into my next point. These light bulbs, being LED and needing less power, operate at full-blast when plugged in. If you're going for a more cozy atmosphere, then you'll absolutely want to get a Dimmer. Luckily there are ones that act as bridges between the wall and the plug, so you wouldn't have to bust open your wall to rewire a new switch. But with a full strand of these bulbs in an enclosed space, without a dimmer, is a bit intense. Consistent, but intense. One last note about these bulbs to consider: If you're big on recording video, these may or may not give you that frequency issue you normally see in fluorescent lighting tubes. They oscillate at a 60Hrz frequency, and depending on how your camera is timed, might pick up the oscillation. You can actually notice it with the human eye, if you turn your head with the bulb in your peripheral vision, you can see the skip. Nothing major, and certainly nothing to knock a star off for. Overall, 10/10, would buy again. Cheers folks!

Accurate color and brightness, but barely-perceptible flicker.
These were an excellent value. I was looking for the harder to find, extra-warm color temperature of 2200K, which is what you see with incandescent bulbs of especially low wattage, or when dimmed. The color is accurate, not an overly yellow, peach or orange hue that some 2200K bulbs have. They are great for accent lighting when you want to create a "warm" atmosphere. S14 bulbs are what most would want for use in "cafe" string lights, and these would be perfect if not for an almost imperceptible flicker. It wasn't enough for me to not use them, but I think it's probably why they were so affordable. It's the sort of flicker that you might only notice if you were quickly moving your eyes around in the space they are illuminating- and really looking for it. They look great in our porch barn lights, and would be great in most applications of cafe/ bistro type string lights.

Definitely niche rather than general bulbs, but if it's the style you want, they look and perform excellently.

I bought these bulbs in hopes that they would be very warm toned, dim bulbs for an art exhibition, and they're perfect! They light up a room just enough to see where you're going with a nice warm glow, but it isnt a significant source of light. In terms of longevity, I haven't quite tested that out yet. If you're looking for a bright bulb to light up a room, this isn't the bulb for you.

The amber colour is what I was looking for and Amazon had them in bulk. It's expensive buying a couple at a time and I needed alot for my string of lights .

I love these bulbs, they produce a soft & relaxing amber light and they don’t get hot like traditional bulbs. They are great for mood lighting or places you don’t need a lot of brightness.

I've found it a challenge to get LED bulbs that are dim enough to be used in our patio string. The first bulbs that I got to replace the original Edison bulbs (which broke or burned out) were 10 times as bright and stood out from the rest. These low lumen LED bulbs fit right in.
