I ordered the tall silver ones for a wedding. They had a buffet meal. I used them to label the various dishes and not contents people might be allergic to. I was pleased with the quality and balance. I thought they might tip over being tall, but they didn't. I think you will be pleased.

I'm pretty sure it would hold a 5X7 card. I used these card holders for 3X5 photo magnets (heavier than cardstock), and they worked just fine.
