Great product - fits toddler to adult.
I bought these for my 6 year old daughter who has sensory processing disorder (SPD) and can't tolerate loud noises and environments. They fit her just fine and she happily wears them. Even I have worn them on an overnight flight when the people around me wouldn't stop talking. They fit me just fine and work well. They don't cancel out the sound completely, but they muffle it enough so that it is not obnoxious - it just becomes background noise. We liked them enough to buy three more pairs (one to keep in each car so my daughter has them when she needs them, one for her to keep at school, and one to keep in the house) and all have held up well. My 2.5 year old nephew is showing similar signs of SPD so I let him wear a pair when he was visiting. They immediately calmed him down when things got noisy. My sister was so impressed that she bought him the same pair, and she says that he asks for them often. My 4 year old daughter who does not have sensory issues also likes to wear them from time to time - I assume it's just because it's nice and relaxing for her to be able to drown out the sound sometimes.

Highly recommended
Thank you, 3M, for creating these! Now each of my girls has a set of these so they don't have to hear me sing terribly off-key. We had originally only purchased one pair for our 3 yr old to use at the NASCAR race. Well, they worked so well that we gave that pair to our older daughter (who has Aspergers) and purchased another pair for our younger daughter. Great for the 4th of July, or any other night that your idiot neighbors might be shooting off fireworks later than the city noise ordinances allow for the days they're allowed to do it. My girls slept right through all of that, including the commotion of a yelling match amongst our idiot neighbors. Heck, these work so well, that my girls ignore me when I call them to try and do their chores! I will let you in on a secret, the Junior fits smaller childrens' heads perfectly, so if you're trying to save a buck and buy a smaller set to fit on a big fat adult noggin like mine... ain't gonna work. Shell out the extra buckaroos and buy the adult set. I recommend the adult size for kids 9 or 10, and up. To sum this up... AWESOME product if you are looking for something to help your child cope with loud noises (like I said above, they work great for our Aspie daughter, no complaints from her at all). Would I recommend these to the kids that belong to rest of the neighborhood that's fed up with the no good, terrible, horrible, idiot neighbors? YOU BETCHA.

Earmuffs are PERFECT for a toddler!
We took our son (almost two) to the "Monster Jam" monster truck show as he's obsessed with big trucks right now. We bought these to protect his ears of course as it gets loud, and were thinking he'd maybe leave them on for 30 minutes or so and then get tired of wearing them. They were so comfortable he left them on for TWO HOURS STRAIGHT and didn't complain once about having them on. I will admit he was pretty distracted with the show, but I can't even wear my comfortable Sony MDR-7506's that long without getting a little tired of having them over my ears and taking them off for a few minutes. The fit was perfect for a toddler, but I'm not sure I would buy for a kid older than 3 or 4. I guess it's best to try on if possible or purchase with enough time to exchange if necessary. Definitely recommend as the price was great, the quality of the product was excellent, and most importantly your child's hearing is important.

Great sound dampeners
I stress dampening, not cancelling. My 3yo son is very noise-sensitive, which keeps him from enjoying a lot of experiences that other kids his age seem to love: carousels, fireworks, hayrides (the tractor is loud)... he even complains that moonbounces are too loud and scare him. A friend of mine had some BeBanz (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong) for her infant daughter during Fourth of July fireworks, and the baby slept right through them. In hopes of enabling my son to enjoy noisier experiences, I looked for something similar for toddlers. These 3M Peltor Junior Earmuffs are indicated for age 13+, but the adjustability means they fit over both my ears and my son's, so don't let the age range turn you off. While they don't block out all sound (I could still hear people talking), they do dampen it a fair amount and I have high hopes for their use during this fall's hayrides. I had to model them myself before my son would try them on, but once he did, he thought they were a fine toy, so I think I'll be able to get them onto him at the critical moment. We'll be going to the fall festival in a week or two and I'll come back with an update as to their effectiveness in action. But so far, so good!

Works great at college football games!
We bought this earmuff for our toddler after she had a bad experience at a college football game because it got too loud for her. We were looking for something that was comfortable for her to keep on and that blocked enough sound that she wouldn't get scared and so that her ears wouldn't get damaged by the noise. When we first received the 3M Peltor earmuff, it looked a bit bulky and not that comfortable to wear, but when we put it on our 19 month old, she seemed comfortable with it and seemed to like it. The true test was at a football game, and that football game was The Big Game between Cal and Stanford, and we were seated close to the Cal student section, so it was definitely going to get loud! Soon after we got there, it was already loud enough that we felt the need to put the earmuff on. She was fine with it on, and even adjusted it over her own ears. Throughout the course of the game, she rarely tried to take them off, so they must have been comfortable. She was content having them on, and she could still hear us talk through the earmuff, so she didn't seem disoriented at all, quite happy, in fact. It got quite loud, but she never seemed uncomfortable, so the earmuff did its job in blocking the noise. It was a big success. We never had to leave our seats because of the noise. Since then, we've used the earmuff on several occasions, and each time we've been very happy with their performance. I would definitely recommend these to anyone taking a toddler into a noisy environment.

My Grandson doesn't pull them off!!!
I purchased these earmuffs for my 17 month old grandson to wear on certain rides and attractions at Disneyland. We wanted to protect his young ears from ridiculously loud sound but wanted him to experience the visual thrills (which brings up the subject of why Disney has to crank the volume up so high on some of it's childrens rides and attractions in the first place) and these did the trick. We were concerned that he would just try to pull them off but I introduced them to him at home and they seemed to be a comfortable fit. I tried them on as well and found them to be comfortable and they definitely blocked sound. They are very sturdy and well made. They are size adjustable by pulling on the earmuff itself and that part of the assembly pulls out from the metal of the head strap assembly. He didn't mind them at all and they are lightweight. In between rides I just attached them to my purse using my purse strap hook. After we got home his mother told me that he brought the earmuffs to her to help him put them on and he just played around the house wearing them for awhile. I'd call this a success!

Great ear protection for kids!!!
Monster Trucks are awesome. Damaged ear drums are not. I wanted to take my son to see MonsterJam while it was in town, but did not want to risk his delicate ear drums being harmed. These protectors did the trick, and fit perfectly on him then (he was three when I first got them) and still fit him now (he is now five). He has used them to protect from monster trucks, my power tools, and his screaming baby brother. Soon he will be using them while watching an air show, and I can trust that his ears are nice and safe. These work much much better than foam inserts, as they are comfortable to wear and there is no risk of them falling out.

Daughter with Sensory Issues
I have a daughter with sensory integration issues. Normal everyday sounds bother her enough that she covers her ears with her hands and runs from them. Even the wind blowing outside can be too much for her. But these earmuffs have worked wonders. We carry them EVERYWHERE because she loves them so much. The don't make all sound go away - she can still hear what's going on around her, and can hear people talking at a normal volume - but they make the loud noises less bothersome. She has even slept in them. And the size is great for her. She is a VERY petite 2yo (almost 3), about the size of many kids half her age, and they are small enough to stay on her comfortably without slipping around at all. Yet they actually can be adjusted to fit me. (I'm petite as well, about 4'10") So I'd say that they could probably fit most kids from 1yo to 12/13yo, if not older. Also, the product has proved quite durable. As I said, we don't leave home without them, and they still look as good as they did out of the package. I would definitely recommend these for anyone seeking an affordable, durable ear protection option for young or old children.

Love, love, love! Now has two pairs!
My daughter hates loud noises. She LOVES these! They are comfortable and dim loud noises for her sensitive ears. She will even vacuum with them on! She has a pair at school for times when it gets too loud for her, mainly gym class. I thought she might get teased--until I went to a family day dance and there were four other kids in her kindergarten class with them on, boys and girls!

Brilliant for teenagers
My daughter loves these ear defenders because they are a bit more grown up from the ones that have Kidz on now she is 16, but still pink so very happy and still can go to pantomime without fear of loud noise.
