Worked easily and first time
The purpose for buying this cable was to link a keyboard (specifically a Yamaha P35 electric piano) to a DAW product (namely GarageBand running on a MacBook). I was fully expecting this to be a bit fiddly and to have to download a piece of driver software as I have with previous hardware items connecting to my Mac. Instead however (and as advertised on the cable packaging to be fair) it worked first time once connected with no driver required. As soon as the USB lead was placed into the MacBook GarageBand recognised the newly added device and I was able to select and play the full range of pianos, keyboards and synths via the full size keys of the P35. No latency (delay between key being pressed and sound emerging) was discernible. Potential users should note that the sound is going to come out of your computer speakers and not out of your keyboard even if this has built in speakers. For best results then you'll need to hook your computer up to a decent speaker or amp. When I did this the results were really impressive. This is a great purchase at this price and will transform your keyboard and your enjoyment of your DAW.

Perfect for Downloading Patches to TC Electronic G-Major 2 Guitar Effects Processor
I bought this cable for a specific purpose: to download patches to my TC Electronic G-Major 2 guitar effects processor. It does the job perfectly with no special understanding required and is good value for money. Highly recommended.

Works Well !
I have decided to learn piano after giving up with it many years ago. Fortunatley, i have got my hands on a keyboard and needed to connect it to my PC to utilize the Keyboard along with Melodics, the Keyboard sadly does not have a USB computer port hence the need for this product. The product works great, following the instructions is easy, my PC recognizes the Keyboard as a MIDI Controller and so does Melodics. Now i can practice as well as use the Keyboard as a MIDI controller too for (FL Studio). I do not notice any lag, or delay. Happy with the product, does what it says and great price.

Works well
Arrived promptly. Looks good quality and was easy to install, linking my mid keyboard to my PC. It does the job as described. Difficult to comment on durability as I have just started using it, but it seems well made and no reason to doubt its durability. It looks good value for the money. Very happy with my purchase.

Don't work.
These light up, but that's all they do. It's possible that i've made some kind of mistake. But after decades using this kind of hardware i somehow doubt it. .

Worth paying more!
I purchased this because I was trying to record something from my Yamaha electric piano onto GarageBand on my Mac. I originally had a cheapo MIDI cable and for some reason whenever I pressed the sustain pedal, it was making an E note. I read a few things online about it and basically it said it was due to cheap MIDI cables not being able to convert the sustain pedal properly so it just outputs the pedal as a note. I thought i'll take a punt and buy this just to see if it really is the cable at fault...well they were right! I just plugged this straight in and it worked perfectly. The best bit - no sound outputs when I press the sustain pedal so this cable gets a massive thumbs up from me! Now I can finally get on with my recording!

Works with M1 Mac
I wasn't sure if this would work on my M1 Mac but it did the job perfectly! Plugged it straight in and it recognised my device in Logic. Only thing I dislike is the very bright flashing light that lets you know it's working, but I just covered it up with some tape.

Good product
- No problem so far. - Suitable for Mac It is suitable with my Yamaha PSR 175 keyboard which is really old. I bought it to use Garageband and take piano lessons on Garageband. To make it works, the Midi IN cable has to be in the Midi OUT and the Midi OUT cable in the Midi IN. Once the keyboard is switched on, the LED has to be red and blinked BLUE to work properly.

Seems to cause delays or lost events sometimes in a way that makes it seem reliable for a while and then utterly unusable. I'll edit this if I somehow determine another part of my software or hardware stack being responsible.
