Yes, they do give this to you, or something similar to it when you have a baby, but…. ALMOST ANYONE CAN USE THIS; EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A WOMAN & YOU HAVEN’T HAD A BABY, you’ll know if you need this. Most common use is on your bottom; I’ve even used this to numb a bee sting & it worked great. It is an average size can of foam spray, it is good for skin irritations, the cost is average, it has some moisturizing qualities, it absolutely does give a cooling sensation along with the pain relief. This can is of a slightly smaller size than other products of this type. ** THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT BRANDS THAT DO THE SAME JOB & they come in different forms, ex; spray, creams, ointment & then the foam type. You have to figure out which one best suits your needs.

I used dermoplast, which worked like a dream. Then I pulled out this can of Frida spray and, by Gosh, it itched like crazy. Not just an itch, a painful, burning, I-need-to-get-rid-of-this-now type of itch. Not a cooling effect at all. Maybe I was allergic to it but I don’t have any other allergies and I’m certainly not allergic to witch hazel, aloe Vera, or benzocaine. Gave the review 5 stars so this could be read and not buried in the one star section.

I bought the Frida Mom perineal spray to use after having a perineoplasty as part of my hysterectomy surgey. The area was extremely tender and uncomfortable during recovery, especially when using the bathroom. The numbing effect of this spray gave me a lot of relief and made those first weeks of healing much more manageable. Even though it’s marketed for postpartum recovery, it worked great for my surgical recovery too. Thank goodness for my Reddit community for recommending.

My son said it worked perfect and didn’t take as many sprays as the other brands. He did feel the pain.

I’ve ordered this twice and I like it but one of the bottles was defective and didn’t spray at first. I finally got it to work but it is extremely difficult to get it to spray - not something you want to have to worry about when you’re already in pain and applying so many other things to promote healing postpartum. I’m not sure if this is any better than what the hospital gives - I didn’t really notice a difference. It definitely works though and helps reduce irritation on stitches and traumatized skin.

For me, this seems to numb better than the dermoplast spray. It’s soothing and works fast. Knocked a star because the nozzle doesn’t always spray correctly and the smell can be overpowering at first.

This made things feel so much better. Everything is already In pain so any little bit helps. They also lasted me a while so good size.
