Whale Non-Return Inline Valve - Suction or Discharge Line - Nitrile

Using this in my outdoor pond pump line to pump water into the filter, it prevents dirty water from backf lowing into my pond. I attached it into the middle of a 1" flexible pond tube and it works perfect

Very well made, easy to adjust to my 1.5 inch hose.

Worked great on my head outlet hose....Access to my Joker valve on my head requires removal of the entire head so rather than replace the Joker valve, I placed this valve inline close to the head to keep the line from filling the head and allowing flushed water back into the head... Works perfectly and if ever fails I can always replace it easily...

I installed this valve in a 1 1/2" x20' discharge line for my bilge pump. From day 1, the water would weep back through the valve, causing the bilge pump to run for 2 seconds every 45 minutes. Just enough to recharge the line and start the cycle again. 3 months later it's down to 30 minutes. Got tired of hearing the pump run and replaced the valve with a flap-type valve.

I used this on my sailboat's automatic bilge pump discharge. The hose installed by the builder is 1". The newer bilge pumps use 1 1/8" fittings. I have a foot or so of 1 1/8" hose that curves upward coming out of the pump. I installed this valve vertically and it connects perfectly with the 1" hose that runs overboard. In my configuration I have about a gallon of water standing in the piping. The valve effectively prevents that water from draining back into the bilge.

Used this for my jet pump as it was leaking on the suction line and cycling my jet pump often.. once installed it failed immediately.. I think it could work for certain tasks but didn't hold up for this job unfortunately
