Best Boat Hook Period
Very sturdy and well built hook. My other new one on the boat is suppose to twist to unlock. Not sure if salt air or what but its hard to open or cant even open it. Its about 2-3 months old under cover on stern of boat plus im in covered moorage. Very impressed with the ease of use on this hook and how sturdy it is. We use it to keep the stern from touching the dock when leaving and returning as as space is a tight fit for the boat. I love how you can just pop the clip open, extend to where you need and then lick it down. Flawless! Will not bind up like the twist one we had did. Also, it arrived missing the screw on hook. I emailed the company my order number and address and the missing part was shipped immediately Very good product and customer service! I think we will buy another for home use and replace my twist type i have always hated. Plus get some attachments for the head of it.

Good quality, Easy to adjust
Used this about 30 times since purchase. Pros: extends quit long compared to my other west marine versions Quickly adjusts to length and never gets stuck due to someone over twisting it. Sturdy, well built feel in hand. Use it mostly to pull the mooring chain aboard when tying up. Cons: a little heavier due to it having a third telescoping pole inside vs two on the standard versions. Doesn’t float like other more expensive ones Dark color makes it harder to locate at night (put some retro reflective tape on it to fix) Overall this has become my go to when reaching for a boat hook.

Missing hook but they made good on it
Nice hook for pontoon boat. First order didn't have the hook included so I returned that one and they sent another package that did have the hook with it.

Changed my review from 5 to 1
Bought this boat hook in December loved it, and price and quality. Even gave it 4-5 stars. Well I’ve been using it on the water for a month now most of May and half of June and boy have I changed my mind. It is garbage. First the locking clips don’t hold and it will telescope when you need to push or pull with it. When it gets wet the locking clips hold even less. Second, they painted it black. Holy mackerel does it get hot. It gets so hot I had to dip it into water to cool it so I could hold on to it. My old silver one didn’t get that hot. So if you want a real working boat hook these telescoping ones are crap. After owning a high quality telescoping hook that my kids bent, and now this ever sprout 3 section telescoping hook that won’t lock and slips when you need it most, I’m changing over to a wooden shaft fixed length boat hook. Why?? Cause in an emergency like trying to save a person or pet, or when coming into a dock when conditions are bad, you need to be able to depend on your equipment. The US Coast Guard still uses 12 foot (one piece) wood boat hooks. Strong, durable,a little on heavy side, never to hot or cold to touch with bare hand, and they float. If made right a metal hook on wood shaft boat hook when dropped in water the hook goes down and the handle will stick straight up, out of the water, so you can grab it. Some times old tech is the best tech. I’m buying a 6’6” wood shaft ( stainless hook) boat hook. Cause I need dependable when things go sideways.

Best tool on the boat, great quality
We use a mooring ball and this makes tying up so much easier. We used it (fully retracted) to grab the mooring buoy in a storm with high winds and choppy waves. It did an awesome job and if it was going to fail, that was it's chance, but it did not. If you are dealing with heavy loads or big boats, do not try to use it extended because it loses it's strength. If you are familiar with boating you will know they are designed to be used for loads when retracted. But extended is great for grabbing a dock line, something that fell overboard or anything else out of reach. For $38 this is well worth the price.

This boat hook is much better than I expected . Even at full extension it is plenty strong enough to hook or push off. It can be locked at any length with ease . The grip is perfect . The overall strength is more than enough . I would buy this again without a doubt but I probably wont have to because unless someone steels it from me this hook should last forever and it floats.

Produit conforme à la description sauf que les attache entre chaque brin ont tendance à rouiller après 2 mois d'utilisation. Beaucoup trop cher pour si peu de temps
