No regrets - works great. I upgraded mine by replacing the OEM coupling with a Lock-n-Lube coupling, and it is the nuts for greasing. Practically hands free. Just lock on the coupler and pull the trigger. I’m very happy with the longer hose - longer than any hand pump gun I’ve used. Lets me set it down, leaving both hands free to connect the coupling if need be, then hit the trigger. The true test will be to see if it leaks. I was in the market for a new gun because every gun have I have leaks oil all over. To be fair, I’d been using Shell Gadus red lithium. I see a lot people complaining about red lithium grease separating and leaking, so I loaded the new DeWalt with Valvoline full synthetic, which people say doesn’t separate. Time will tell, but so far so good.

Great grease gun kit comes with everything you need and works perfect for greasing heavy duty equipment, I use this for my dump truck and it works great.

Love it. Really works good & lots of pressure. I put a locking tip on it & man it will grease about anything. GO Easy. You will blow the boot right off a ball joint. Very happy with it.

You are reading this review because you are (1) considering a cordless grease gun and (2) comparing various brands of them. Let me save you some time and potential frustration: add this to your cart and be thrilled by how awesome it is 2 days later. Also got a lock-n-lube coupler for it which takes it from an A to an A+. Battery lasts forever, easy and clean to load, primes in seconds, makes the most stubborn zerks yield in defeat, long hose, sturdy case, includes battery and charger....nothing negative. Yeah its a couple hundred $ to do same thing as a $20 manual grease gun. But worth every penny. If all you have is a riding mower with 4 grease fittings skip it. But you have a tractor, backhoe, tandem axle trailer, etc....yeah you want this. I tried to go cheap route and got a different generic one and it was horrible. Battery always dead, no pressure for stubborn fittings, hard to reload...wasted $. Just do it right and get this one, be confident you made an excellent choice. And i say this NOT being a DeWalt fanboy....all my power tools are Bosch and Hitachi so i have no battery overlap with this but still think it was best choice. Hitting 30-40 grease fittings servicing a piece of equipment is a boring unproductive chore. Do it in a few minutes and with no mess with this instead :) Is it more of a luxury than necessity? Probably, but you will definitely say "why didn't I buy this years ago?"

The other reviews on this grease gun were spot on. This was a very expensive investment for me considering I used to use the cheap $20-$40 pneumatic grease guns. However, this was worth every cent, and I hope it lasts a long time for the money I paid. Because it is cordless, I was able to grease my tractor implements that were sitting away from my garage where my air compressor is without having to move them. Hence, I was able to grease everything at once and be on the same schedule. The fact that you can simply hold the trigger and it keeps putting out grease is amazing compared to any other grease gun I have used in the past. This saves a lot of headache when reaching into very tight places. The hose is very long and allows you to get into places cheaper guns can't get to easily. The tool is a bit heavy but the strap that comes with it solves that issue, plus it keeps it out of the mud when conditions are bad outside. The purge valve on the top made for a very easy install of the grease tube. My only other complaint was that the pull rod was EXTREMELY difficult to pull out and lock because the spring was so tight. I had trouble holding the grease gun from moving while pulling on the rod. I expect this will get easier over time as the spring wears in from use. I bought the kit with the case and battery. I would recommend it unless you already have a bunch of the bigger batteries and faster chargers around. It comes with the larger battery and the faster charger which was grease since I already had some of the smaller 20V batteries and a slower charger that I got with another Dewalt tool set. The bigger battery is great for the other tools like my reciprocating saw. The case for the grease gun is very nice and has a depiction of where the hose is supposed to be routed in the case to make it fit. Overall a nice design, and worth the extra money for the case and accessories. Overall I look forward to never messing around with another broken grease gun that doesn't have the power to push the grease out, and never purges right. This tool was expensive, but I agree with others that it was well worth the extra money spent.

Farm equipment needs frequent greasing and this helps when you don't have an extra hand to help.

I bought this as a gift for my dads and they liked it or at least didnt hear complaints. They wanted it to make it easier to grease lawn mowers, tractor, etc. it makes alot easier than the manual grease guns. I didnt get alot of feedback from them but i trust dewalt to make this review and not hearing any complaints from my dads

The first time on charging the batteries once they were plugged in and switched on they started to smell of burning with black smoke coming from the charger had to remove instantly has they were burning very dangerous
