Very good product
I opted to use these with the 20 liter Jerry Cans I bought from British Atlantic. I bought two. They are nearly perfect. The cans fit with a bit of extra room, but the strap secures them just fine. I mounted them to the A-frame of my trailer with self tapping bolts. Make note that you have to get your own mounting hardware. As mentioned by others, the rubber bumpers are almost useless; I plan to use them until I lose them and then use something with an adhesive back. Don't expect the lock hasp to stop someone determined to steal the cans, as the strap has several weak points that could be defeated with enough force. That said, the can won't come out of the holder bouncing down the road. My cans have the NATO offset spout, and a plastic clip that the filler clips into for storage. I actually welded a tab onto the strap that will hold the filler into the clip so I can keep them on the can and not lose them. Once I made these tweaks, I was very happy with the result.

Quality control intermittent from manufacturer
Purchased x2 mounting brackets and received one that was defective with exposed rust despite no damage to package or wrapping. Have to keep an eye out as manufacturer seems to be painting over rusted steel forming a poor bond. Sent rusted mount back and the replacement received had no defects.

These work perfectly ...
I have two of these in my truck bed for jerry cans ... they are sturdy and I like the fact they can be used for both 5 and 2.5 jerry cans! Nice product, arrived fast and I will recommend these to anyone looking for a jerry can storage option.

Get More, Spend Less!
I purchased a Jerry Can Holder (Billet 4x4) because I thought: a) shipping would be free; b) must be better made because of higher price; and c) product reviews. After getting it, it is as described and does what it is supposed to do, no complaints there. But, I was shocked that there was a $20.00 shipping fee, but let it go since I had clicked order now too quickly. After having purchased it I purchased Smittybilt 2798 Jerry Gas Can Holder (Smitty), I can now review the differences between the two. Price: Billet: $56.99; Smitty: $24.99 total with shipping Quality: Exactly the same, although Smitty came with more rubber guards. Conclusion, if you need one of these to hold a Jerry Can; buy the Smitty, I bought 3

Poor build quality. Not worth the extra price with poor QC.
These units have poor quality welds but they do the basic job if you install them in a truck bed (i dont need to bungee cord / ratchet strap them in). The hold down brackets on both units I bought broke at the hinge tack welds on the first drive (7 miles). These may be cheaper than fabricating myself but I will probably be welding up my own jerry can holder if I need another one and using better (thicker) materials. The second unit did not come with the rubber rub guards meaning the holder will wear the paint off my nato cans if I continue to drive with them. Having said that, there are a variety of mounting holes on the frames which is nice. I will likely reweld / redesign the hold down strap and they will work fine.

In a world where you get what you pay for.......
.......along comes this awesome Smittybilt Jerry Can Holder! This thing is well built and the powdercoat is really nice. Please don't believe it will "float" at the back of your tire, there's a separate adapter available for that mounting (search "Smittybilt 2740 I-Rack", or "Intelligent Rack", here on Amazon or check "The Bay"). This Jerry Can Holder has mounting holes on both long sides and it should be pretty easy to fabricate some form of suitable mount for it. As mentioned in other reviews, there are a bunch of rubber isolaters to keep your metal can off of the metal frame, they're not really secure---you'll want to get some self stick insulation to replace this, but it's no issue, really. You can leave the isolators in place if you never plan on removing the can from the holder (parade queen, like my buddies Jeep!); otherwise they'll pop out when you pull the can. Overall, I'm really impressed at the quality and appearance of this thing for the money!

Surprised how solid it is. Top locking bar could be better but works fine. Iโm happy. And the Scepter 20l plastic can fits in snug!

Product as Ordered.
The basket is of better quality/heavier guage than expected. The locking handle looks good and can be made to fit different Jerry Cans firmly in the basket to prevent falling/bouncing out. Would not be effective to prevent Jerry Can theft by someone without tools but strong hands; would be effective locking to basket height only.
