I have this for my dogs. Works great! I noticed that the purple stain stays for a long time and was wondering if I could use it to dye my hair.

Well, I suppose you could, but it would be easier and cheaper just to buy hair dye, but I would imagine that it would really dry your hair out. Plus, when I use Blu-Kote it usually washes off my hands in a couple days. It probably won't last long in your hair.

does it work on horses?

Yes. I bought it for a hoof issue. I have been using it on horses for 50 years. Always have one in my "vet" box.

Like most things it has an expiration date so you will throw it out and buy more. I’m sure it is fine long after the “expiration date”!

Can I use this on a healing chick and put her back in with the others or do I still need to wait for her to fully heal?

Depends how bad the wound is. If it’s just an abrasion not through the skin, blue kote should be enough. If the skin was penetrated, isolate the chick til it has healed.
