Cape Craftsmen TV Tray Set with Stand

We are reluctant interent shoppers - especially with furniture-type items. Received these with a little damage to the boxing, but packed very well with no damage. When assembled, they were gorgeous, true-to-size and seem to be quite sturdy. Great value and definitely furniture-grade quality.

Received the box and, knowing that it needed to be put together, gathered my tools out of my toolkit and prepared to start work. What a surprise to find that the only tool I needed was an Allen wrench and it was included. The setup was easy and they look good by themselves and great with my glass of wine sitting on them. ;)

The rack isn't sturdy at all. It sways back and forth. The bottom wood piece on 2 of the tray tables keeps coming out so we had to wood glue it together. I feel for 150 bucks these things shouldn't be happening. Worth 25 bucks like regular tray tables. Nothing special about them. Design is cool but not for $150.00.

First shipment arrived defective (curved leg). Amazon shipped a replacement immediately. Came in perfect. They look beautiful, are sturdy and the rack is also sturdy and quite handy. There is a design flaw with the actual using them: if you try to lift the table out of the way, as you get up from the couch, and it has cups or anything on it....WATCH OUT... the bottom(the legs) is not locked in, so it moves back to its side, therefore, if you try to put the table down, so it will stand up (you won't have both legs, so it can't stand up anymore, and without you using two hands to put the legs back in proper place can' t be used. Extrmely inconvenient and dangerous if you don't know to expect it, so you end up having to take everything off the table, using two hands to put the legs back down etc etc . So I wish it had a locking device of some sort so it stays put.

First, the product was delivered in a box that was slightly open and was ripped/damaged. The product, however, survived the damaged box. Also, most important is that the table tray stand/rack that holds the trays is of very poor quality. It is not very sturdy and the engineering of the stand seems poorly designed. The directions for assembly (from China) were very unclear and confusing. The tray tables themselves were of better quality, however, they were easily scratched - we had to use some glue and wood coloring to cover up a spot that came loose simply by putting the tray on the stand. Much improvement in the quality of this product is needed.

These tray tables are a work of art and blend so nicely with my eclectic decor. They are just so pretty. I'm glad I spent the extra to purchase them as they are anything but boring, same 'ol, same 'ol...

Never have we had anyone comment on the attractiveness of our TV trays until now. They are definitely not the same old TV trays people are used to. They are colorful and classy for a TV tray. We had a large party and the finish definitely held up to people's drinks and plates.

I ordered these because they got such rave reviews but I don’t feel they are worth the money. My base came with the color peeling off and I got a splinter as I put the base together and there is stripped screw hole so we have to figure out how to get it to stay together. They are a bit small also. I am an average sized person and I can’t fit both legs comfortably under the trays. Plus - on one of the trays, a screw is coming up thru the top from the bottom. They are not overly study - they sway a bit once you open them up to use them. Oh well - too much trouble to send them back.

I absolutely love the TV Trays! They are beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I am however very disappointed with the quality of the stand. Several of the screws are stripped out and will not catch into the wood. So in order to make it function for company over the holidays. I have had to use a super glue in the screw holes. Also the plugs that were supplied to cover the screw heads, do not fit. Way too small. I have had to glue them in place as well. I would have returned it. However like I said, I needed these trays for company over Thanksgiving. It's almost like the trays and the stand came from two different suppliers.

VERY pleased with these trays - they arrived very well packaged and are good quality- I was a bit nervous about that but these trays are well made. I haven't put the stand together yet - but the trays themselves are well worth the price !

Loved the trays. Our second set. But we had to unscrew 3 of 4 trays and re-attach to legs because they were attached upside down! When in the closed position and resting on stand they would have appeared upside down. Careless assembly?? But the rest of the craftsmanship is very nice. Would recommend as a lovely gift, especially for anyone with an interest in Italian wines.

The trays are really nice, sturdy and look good. The stand on the other hand is cheaply made; mine had warped wood and is so far from being square I can’t get the trays on it because one side is too wide, as you can see in the photo how twisted it is. Disappointing.

Good quality for the price easy to set up!
