My First Menorah

It's okay, not very engaging. My son likes to light the candles, but the random facts are just that- random, and not particularly interesting to read or hear.Edited: Surprisingly, my 18 now 23 mos old loves this book. Possibly because I read it all sing songy and make up words about lighting the candles. He's ripped it up quite a bit (like all the board books we own and he over loves).

We are Catholic and our daughters attend a Jewish preschool - Kindergarten. This book is perfect for this age group and tells the story in easy to understand manner. It was perfect for us who are not familiar with the specifics of the Jewish faith. The girls love how by turning the page, a candle is lit.

Grandchildren love the book. The center candle cutout breaks immediately.

My First Menorah came in absolutely beautiful condition. I love the book! It is one I will enjoy with my grandson every year. The story is well written for all ages. It is fun to look at and colorful too.

I was looking for a simple book that explains the traditions of Hanukkah to my daughter's Kindergarten class. This book was perfect. It explains the traditions and customs of the holiday without providing too many details that could be confusing for young children of other faiths.

Great for young child

The candles are "lit" as the nights progress- great for introduction to Hanukkah. We used this as one of our Advent Books- it was enjoyed by young and old
