I bought this rug pad to go under an area rug in a high traffic part of the house, and it’s been doing exactly what I hoped. Once it was down, the rug stopped sliding around and stayed flat, even with people walking over it all day. The felt is thick enough to add some cushioning without making the rug feel bulky. It actually made the rug feel nicer to walk on and helped a bit with noise too. I also like that it didn’t have any smell when I opened it and didn’t leave marks on the floor. It was easy to cut to size and lay down, and it’s stayed in place since. For something you don’t really think about once it’s installed, it’s been solid and hassle free.

Worked perfected with my 9 x 12 rug. 1/4 just the right amount of cushion but still thin enough so people don’t trip, hardwood flooring underneath. Stays in place and doesn’t shift. No smell either.

These pads are excellent quality. They don’t slip and have great cushioning. Arrived when expected and were packaged very well. Good price and good quality.

Good quality, stays in place. They were easy to trim too. I’ve only had them for a few days so we’ll see how they hold up on my wood floors. Note to seller — label them rug sizes! I ordered 6 different size rug pads and NONE of the shipping boxes, inside or out, stated the size. Very frustrating when dealing with larger rugs and you want to open them in the proper room.

This product REALLY improved echo in a tiled floor bedroom, and helped with sound, comfort, and a warmer/softer floor surface. Combined with a thinner rug, looked /felt great and gave me the results I needed.

This is, by far, the BEST rug pad I’ve ever owned. My narrow antique Persian carpet is not budging - even though it is placed on a glazed concrete floor in a high traffic area. The thickness is just enough to cushion the carpet a bit without adding a dangerous tripping hazard. I’ve already ordered another for my larger carpet and plan to replace every one of my current pads with this one. Stop shopping and just buy this one! You will not be disappointed!

We got a rug on sale (6'7" x 9'10") that didn't have much padding and kept slipping when we would vacuum it. Our previous rug had so much cushioning but we were tired of the long pile that made it difficult to clean. That said, I debated a lot about the thickness of the padding from 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2". Other reviews helped me decide on the 1/4" thickness and very glad I did. It offered enough padding and still keeps the low profile. Anu thicker and I think you would notice the height discrepancy. I opted to get the 8'x10' padding size since our rug was a strange size and I wanted to be able to cut it down to size. I went down a rabbit hole reading reviews of various padding brands and wanted the lowest VOC's since I have a very sensitive nose and just hate toxic smells in general. I took a chance with RUGPADUSA and so happy I did. The padding came very fast (next day delivery) which allowed me ample time to air it out before our sofa was delivered. Honestly, I didn't need the airing out time because there was no discernible odor emitting from the pad. Also, it came in a giant box where the pad was folded in half and then rolled so there weren't a lot of creases that needed to be flattened. The rubber bottom helps grip to the hardwood floors and the felt top adds ample padding and the bottom of our rug grips onto it well so we no longer have an issue with vacuuming. I was able to cut it down with scissors but then switched to an box cutter knife, straight edge ruler and self healing mat to make straighter and faster cuts. We were debating if we should cut it a few inches smaller than the rug size or the exact same size of the rug. We opted for inbetween. We didn't like feeling the pads a few inches after the rug's edge and having it right up to the edge of the rug didn't conceal the padding's edge, so I cut it about a quarter inch of clearance and I think the edges will flatten down more over time. It would have been harder to do this with a thicker pad. I was also able to use the access to create foot pads for our new sofa. I simply put the felt side down and the rubber side up and the sofa was able to slide into position easily and keep my floors protected. We used felt floor protecting pads with adhesive last time and the adhesive seeped into our floors which was difficult to remove and clean. Using the access felt with no adhesive is better in the long run and the rubber top grips to the furniture legs. Thankfully it's easy to conceal since we only applied the pads to the back legs of the sofa since the front legs sit in the rug. We have enough left over to use for a hallway runner. I highly recommend this padding from RUGPADUSA. No odor ✔️, no wrinkles ✔️, easy to cut to size ✔️, adequate padding ✔️, made in the USA ✔️

Bought this for my toddler's room our rental home has hard linoleum floors and this little girl is too active NOT to have some padding. It works so well! It's not plush, but he floor definitely feels more comfortable to play and just lounge around on. I was skeptical cause it is a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Cutting was a bit rough and it was much bigger than 8x10, but I ratherstruggle to trim than for it to be too small. I've had no issues with her rug moving AT ALL and there's no slipping. It came packed neatly with no smell whatsoever.
