I initially bought this to get in between the keys on my laptop - the idea of just "stamping" it to reach the accumulated dust that's really difficult to get to was quite a draw... My tub arrived damaged and the seal had broken open but once I removed the lid I was please to find the dust remover hadn't gone hard and dried out. It's a kind of yellow slime (remember slymuk and fart putty?) with a faint lemon smell. I would have said there's no fragrance, it's nowhere near overpowering but it does have a hint of lemon about it... I scooped it out if the tub in one piece and immediately found it quite relaxing just squeezing it in my hands lol it's not as firm as physio putty but is firm enough to mould, (although I wouldn't try resting it on your clothes or buying it for this purpose!) Anyway, once I decided to use it for the reason I purchased, it did a great job of cleaning between the keys on my laptop. Occasionally it would leave some sticky residue as other reviewers have pointed out, but I found that if you rolled the putty back over itself, it just took it back up. My electronic keyboard (musical not computer) happened to be staring at me, also with dust down either side of the keys but also where the volume and pitch keys were; I've tried to clean with a dust brush on my hoover but this got to places I just couldn't clean before. I noticed before putting it back in its tub that it had like a dark vein running across it - I can see how the seller points out that it's done when it gets dark, but plenty of life left in it yet! Pushing it back into the tub from the "sausage" that I'd created by rolling it in my keyboard was easy enough, and when pressing it to fit is when it reminded me of fart putty 😉 No residue on my hands after use, although I did pinch a piece off to see how it would cope in water and it didn't seem to disintegrate but kind of rolled off my finger - I hope the claims of it being biodegradable are true, but in the meantime I'm thinking of taking it to work with me to tackle the electronics that are in dire need of degriming!

I love this stuff for getting unsightly dust off difficult areas like air vents etc. I have given 4 out if 5 as this make is just a little too “damp” for my liking and unlike some others tends to break up a bit meaning you have to dab the lump to retrieve “bits”. That said it still does the biz and good value

This worked wonders in removing dust and dirt from my mechanical keyboard (Steelseries Apex Pro). The gel's sticky consistency adheres to debris, making it easy to lift and remove without causing any damage to the keys or other components. It effectively reaches even the tightest spaces, leaving the keyboard looking fresh and clean. It is worth noting that it will not remove any grease or dirt that stuck to the keys, so you will need to clean that separately. One of the things I was most surprised about was that it does not leave behind a noticable greasy residue. After using the gel, my keyboard felt dry to the touch, ensuring a comfortable typing experience immediately after cleaning. The only major downside to this cleaning gel is that it is a consumable item. Unlike other cleaning tools that can be washed or reused, this gel will eventually lose its effectiveness and need to be replaced. Depending on the frequency of use and the amount of debris it collects, you may find yourself purchasing new gel regularly. I have used this to clean two keyboards and it is still fine, but I do not know how long it will last.

Initial comments April 2019:- In theory, this is a good idea that should work well. It's very simple in its concept - a sticky ball of gunk that (in my case) I roll all over my laptop keyboard to pull away years of dust and other unpleasantries. It's okay. It kind of works. But I can't say I'm truly happy with it because while the overall outcome could be described as an improvement, my keyboard isn't looking fresh and new by any means. Tiny particles of the green gunk remain in numerous places and while it might be possible to remove them using the gunk-ball itself, it's very time-consuming and I've got work to be getting on with. It's also messy as far as the hands are concerned. Okay, it's not difficult to wash the bits off under a flow of warm water, but as I watched the lumps disappearing down the plug-hole of my basin, I was concerned that it could cause a blockage somewhere down the line so I closed the plug and ended up spending yet more time collecting all the fragments from the water and disposing with them in what I felt the most appropriate way: the food-waste bucket. Not suitable for the general black-bag rubbish, and presumably not for the pink-bag recycle bin either, so that left just the food-waste bucket. All in all, this is not a convenient material to dispose of. I think the product is only partially developed from a scientific point of view, as well as things like convenience and practicality. The concept is good, the execution only average and in need of further development. A better product would not stick to the fingers so easily, would remain in one piece at all times, and would totally remove itself from a keyboard when necessary and would leave nothing of its own self behind. And waste disposal would be better managed, with better advice on how to do so. Having said all that, it does just about get a 3-star rating. I think I would be willing to pay twice the price for a more thoroughly designed product that better meets my requirements. As it is, it's messy and doesn't completely do what it says on its own tin (well, jar). *UPDATE* June 2019 The manufacturers sent me a replacement version which they assured me beforehand would be better than the first - and they're right. The first image you see here is of the old product, and I think it tells the story. It was REALLY annoying. The second image is of the new product and as you can see it's massively better in terms of convenience and tidyness. It no longer sticks to the hands/fingers, and that's a welcome improvement. As far as its capabilities are concerned, in my case at cleaning the keyboard of a 5-year-old laptop, it's much the same as before only this time it leaves far fewer tiny fragments; the 'ball' stays pretty much in one piece. So I agree that it's an improvement. I still can't get too excited about it, I almost upgraded this review to 4 stars, but I decided to leave it unchanged at 3 because my overall view of the product is that "it's okay". Cheap and reasonably effective.

Dieses Zeug hätte eigentlich 0!!! Sterne verdient. Es ist viel zu flüssig um damit auch nur ansatzweise den gewünschten Effekt zu erzielen. Noch dazu hab ich 20!!! Minuten gebraucht um diesen Dreck wieder von den Händen zu bekommen. Leute, bevor ihr euch das bestellt, ich geb euch meine Kontodaten, überweist mir einfach das Geld, das hat mehr Sinn. Edit 06.06.2019 Scheinbar gab es in der Charge 06.11.2018 einen Produktionsfehler. Der Kundenservice hat sich so gut um mich gekümmert, hat mir ohne Murren sofort das Geld erstattet und mir ein Exemplar nach dem anderen gesendet. Das dritte hat nun eine andere Charge und funktioniert so wie es soll! Es befreit Tastatur etc. vom Dreck, und bleibt nicht an der Hand kleben!
