eVogues Plus Size Sheer Layered Poncho Top

It's really difficult to shop clothing sizes based on reviews. I would highly recommend going with the manufacturer bust measurements to determine your size. The manufacturer put into comments: Bust: (1XL)36-40 inches (2XL)38-42 inches (3XL)40-44 inches. Had I followed that guideline (instead of reviews) I would have ordered a 2XL. For reference, my bust is exactly 40"....instead, I listened to reviews and ordered a 3XL. The 3XL was too big on me. I am 5'9"/160/36DD. My measurements are 40/30/40. The 2XL would have fit nicely, 1XL would have fit snug. I returned the item because once I received it, I did not like the style. I felt like a 60 year old grandma in this. The (removable) pin broach is really cheap looking. But I thought it might look nice on my mother (who is much shorter than I am). I think I would have liked the shirt if the overlay came all the way down to the bottom on one side as it does in the photo. The one I received (even in a 3XL) did not. The overlay stopped half-way between the sleeve and bottom, so it looked like I was wearing two mismatched shirts. As another reviewer stated, if you are large on top, then your chest pulls the overlay up, making me look like I was wearing a sheer, lopsided bib, or a poncho designed for a teen size person. The black part underneath is an attached black tank-top, made of opaque stretchy material. I would love to see this style in a different, younger pattern and some medium toned colors. This blouse is so pretty and comfortable. It is very versatile and can be worn in an office setting or a more dressier occasion. Very very pretty. The flower is a perfect touch as well.

I ordered the top to wear to a wedding and it was perfect! I received it sooner than the estimated date which worked out well for me. The top had just enough elasticity to be comfortable and look nice. The poncho part of the top is lovely and made the outfit dressy without being fussy. I'll find many more occasions to wear this. I would recommend this top to everyone. I did order 1 size larger than I normally wear and am glad that I did. 2X would have worked just fine, but 3X was comfortable, not sloppy and looked nice.

I purchased this a couple of sizes to big. The fit was good however the stretchy top underneath was still clingy. Because the top part is angled you could still see in the side. OK if you have a flat tummy but . . . unfortunately I returned it. Fabric was soft and the top was nicer than I thought it would be.

It's a tight 2x.I would say more like a 1x. It fits. But it's a bit snug. Other than that it's really lovely. It's very dressy. Exactly what I wanted. Flattering fit for larger body types.

I had been eyeballing this shirt for a while. I finally bought it. I ordered it 2 sizes larger than I wear. I am an xl so I ordered 3xl. When I got it opened packaged I said my that looks little. Looked at tag said 3x 17/18 so buyer beware.

This shirt is beautiful! So beautiful, in fact, that my 17-year-old niece wants one. The other reviewers were right: it DOES run small! I normally wear a size 18/20, but due to the reviews I ordered the 3X. Glad I did, otherwise it wouldn't have fit right. Definitely get a size up!

Pretty but short in torso length. I ordered it two sizes up from my usual (from an XL to a 3X after reading some comments and still found it to be somewhat short and certainly nothing close to a "poncho" size as the name infers.

seems t o me that they skimped on the material.
